What Is ‘Baylen Out Loud’ Star Allen Dupree’s Job?

According to his TLC biography, Allen works for the federal government while living with his family in Ranson, West Virginia. The town is a 90-minute drive from Washington, D.C.

Baylen Out Loud’s Allen Dupree Supports His Family

Allen has been married to wife Julie since 2001. She’s a stay-at-home mom to their six children whom the couple raised the small town of just over 5,000 residents.

The couple are parents to four sons: Burke, Sven, Vick and Bechnir. They have two daughters, Baylen and Sammi.

As of February 2025, four of the couple’s six children still live at home.

Their eldest child, Burke, moved back home with his family after finishing college. “Now he’s on his job-hunting adventure,” Allen said of his son during an episode of Baylen Out Loud.

Baylen had lived at home under the watchful eye of her parents after she was officially diagnosed with Tourette syndrome – a neurological disorder causes her to have uncontrollable “tics” ranging from the odd sounds and inappropriate outbursts – shortly before turning 18. But she has since moved out of the house after getting engaged to fiancé Colin Dooley, which was featured on season 1 of Baylen Out Loud. The couple toured a Washington, D.C. apartment that they later moved into after getting engaged on the show.

Allen’s second-oldest daughter, Sammi, lives in Kansas with her boyfriend but is a frequent visitor back home.

“She’s kind of our wild kid as far as like most daring. She’s moved out first, but she comes home quite often,” Allen said on the TLC series about his daughter.

Sven, Vick and Bechnir are all under 18 and still live at home with Allen and Julie.

Baylen Out Loud’s Allen Dupree Is Very Protective of Daughter Baylen Dupree

Viewers saw what a concerned dad Allen is during the February 11, 2025, episode of Baylen Out Loud when Colin approached Baylen’s dad about proposing to her.

“You’ve said multiple times that I haven’t seen that side of her, where she’s been bedridden, and she’s had to take showers with clothes on and you and Julie had to give her showers,” Colin told Allen.

The active-duty U.S. airman continued, “I haven’t seen that side of her, but I’m not leaving her side no matter what. Or leaving when things get tough. She’s my No. 1 priority, and I can promise you I will do everything I can to protect her.”

Allen responded, “I can’t say this enough, cause I f–king mean this. Nothing better happen to my kid. Nothing.”

“I need Colin to make sure he is in this with everything he’s got. I just need him to try. I just need him to try,” Baylen’s dad told producers in a confessional.

Allen warned Colin, “If she’s over there on your watch and something happens to her, I’m telling you Colin, I will f–king find you, OK,” as Colin responded, “I understand.”

When a producer asked Allen, “Are you ready to let Baylen go?” he replied on the verge of tears, “Whether I’m ready or not, I’ve gotta let her go. Soo …”
