Amanda Conner, Wife of Teen Mom’s Ryan Edwards, Says She Has to ‘Own Up’ to Mistakes After DUI Arrest

Less than a week after her arrest, Amanda Conner — the wife of Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards — addressed the situation and admitted she had “relapsed.”

Conner, 35, shared a TikTok video on Wednesday, May 27, and began by telling her followers that she had to “own up” to her mistakes.

“I relapsed. I f**ked up and I relapsed,” she continued. “After three years of me busting my ass and getting my life together, I relapsed. I think I got too comfortable, let my guard down and it happened. I do know addiction does not care how long you’ve been clean, how much you’ve built, it doesn’t care how many people believed in you, it doesn’t care about none of that.”

Conner went on to add that she wanted to apologize to her “followers” and her “supporters” because she knew that they “believed in” her.

“You all ride so hard for me and I appreciate the f**k out of that,” she said, noting, “I have let you all down and I’ve let my family down.”

She also announced that she would be documenting her “journey to recovery” and that she was a “fighter” who wasn’t going to be defined by her relapse.

Conner was arrested in Tennessee on Sunday, May 24, and according to a report from TMZ, she was booked on charges including driving under the influence, child abuse or neglect, and driving on the wrong side of the road.

After her release, Conner is required to comply with a no contact order involving the alleged child victim until at least her June 3 court hearing. Under the order, she is prohibited from being around the child or contacting the individual responsible for the child’s care in the meantime.

The outlet also obtained audio from a call to authorities by a husband who said he was worried his wife was using drugs because of her refusal to take a drug test. While the dispatcher didn’t identify anyone in the call, the husband said the wife left with their child in the car.

Edwards, 38, starred in the first season of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant alongside the mother of his first child, Maci Bookout. He and Bookout, 34, welcomed son Bentley in 2008 and got engaged the following year. However, they ultimately split in 2010 before ever tying the knot.

Seven years later, he wed Mackenzie Standifer. She gave birth to their son, Jagger, in 2018, followed by their daughter, Stella, in 2020. The two eventually separated in 2023, but their divorce wasn’t finalized until 2025.

Edwards and Conner reportedly first met in 2023 while he was completing court-ordered rehab for drug addiction. They got married two weeks after his divorce from Standifer was finalized and in February 2025, she gave birth to their daughter, Presley.
