Marcy Walker is leaning on her All My Children and Santa Barbara family as she battles a private health issue.

The 64-year-old former soap star’s friends, Melissa Braverman and Johanna Humphries, launched a GoFundMe to help cover her medical expenses.

“From her unforgettable, Emmy-winning portrayal of Eden Capwell on Santa Barbara to Liza Colby on All My Children, Marcy brought an incredible brightness, vulnerability, and grace into our living rooms every day,” Braverman and Humphries wrote on the fundraising page. “While she has spent years giving her time, energy, and heart to others — both as an actress and later through her dedicated ministry and community work — she is currently navigating an ongoing health issue where financial support is urgently needed.”

Per a People report published Wednesday, June 24, her former Santa Barbara costar, A Martinez, who played Cruz Castillol, hosted a two-hour livestream with Braverman on Monday, June 7, to reminisce with the actress about their years as one of daytime’s most beloved supercouples. Tickets cost $100 each, with proceeds going toward helping Walker get through the “financial challenges” tied to her health issue, according to the outlet.

Ahead of the event, Martinez said in an Instagram post that Walker “has been ill and is working hard to get well.”

In the GoFundMe post, Braverman and Humphries shared that the reunion moved fans to tears. “The immediate outpouring of love, nostalgia, and gratitude from fans all over the world was nothing short of breathtaking,” they wrote, adding, “Marcy needs our help.”

Supporters have flooded the site’s comments with encouragement. “Soap operas bring strangers together as a family. Whether the bonds formed in Santa Barbara or Pine Valley, they last,” wrote one commenter. Another, simply stated: “Marcy, you are so loved. Prayers for your healing.”

Walker won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the Santa Barbara role in 1989.
