90 Day Fiance’s Nicole Nafziger Slams Rumors Azan Tefou Had a ‘First Wife’ Before They Met

No Mrs. in his life! 90 Day Fiancé alum Nicole Nafziger slammed rumors Azan Tefou had a “first wife” before they met, saying she saw proof he was single. 

The TLC alum, 26, addressed speculation her future husband, whose real name is Hassan M’ Raouni, was previously wed after sharing a selfie with her daughter, May. “All we wanna know is who is Azan’s wife?” one social media user wrote upon Nicole’s return to America following her prolonged trip to Morocco. 

“He doesn’t have one,” the season 4 star wrote in response. “If he was married at 19, then why didn’t it say that on his papers when we were doing the K-1 [visa]? You have to have a paper that says you’ve never been married. I saw that paper because I put the packet together. Therefore he doesn’t have a first wife.”

Fans kept pushing the topic, but she reiterated again that he didn’t have a spouse prior to their romance. The Florida resident was also questioned why her Instagram bio says she is engaged to “H,” but she is “taking pictures with Azan.” 

“He used [the name] Azan on the show way back in our first season,” Nicole clarified. “They continued to use it for all seasons because that’s what he wanted.” The TV personality followed up by sharing a message about perception versus reality. 

“No matter what’s going on around us we know ourselves more than anyone else,” the season 5 alum cryptically penned. “Only you can tell the story through your eyes. Stay true to yourself and the loved ones around you.”

After being “hunkered” down in Morocco due to the coronavirus travel bans, Nicole finally arrived back on U.S. soil on August 10 and she was overjoyed to reunite with her 5-year-old daughter. May posed with the stuffed animal and T-shirt her mother purchased during her extended getaway to North Africa. 

“My sweet girl and her new camel stuffed animal named Maroc,” the reality star captioned one photo on August 19. Fortunately, while Nicole was abroad, her mother, Robbalee Nafziger, was more than happy to help care for May.  

During the trip, Nicole was looking at the bright side and focused on “being able to laugh with him and share these moments,” an insider previously told In Touch.

At least they made some new memories together after being apart for so long!
