90 Day Fiance’s Angela Deem Reflects on 1st Trip to Nigeria to Meet Michael: ‘How Time Flies’

Still going strong! 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem is reflecting on the first day she met her long distance love, Michael Ilesanmi, in person. The TV personality shared a series of photos on Thursday, April 16, showing them clad in matching ensembles.

“TBT. Two years ago, my very first trip to Nigeria to see my oko mi Michael. How time flies,” the TLC star captioned her post. The Maury alum and her beau met online while she was working as a nursing assistant in Hazlehurst, Georgia, and after months of getting to know each other, Angela arranged a flight so she could see him face to face.

Fans are living for the flashback photos, with many taking to the comment section to show some love. “You guys are awesome! One of the major reasons I watched the show,” one social media user wrote. “I love that you [two] are still together,” another added. A third questioned if they are married, three months after photos of their alleged nuptials leaked.

People are convinced the two tied the knot after seeing the portraits of Angela in a stunning white gown back in January. It’s speculated the account that posted the photos used to belong to Michael, before they started using a joint social media page.

Angela also shared an obituary for her late mother, Glenda Standridge, in February and it seemingly confirmed that she and Michael said their “I do’s” as he was referred to as Glenda’s “son-in-law.”

Michael previously said his main priority is to move to America to live with Angela. If they did wed in Nigeria, Michael can apply for the spousal visa, which allows the spouse of an American citizen to enter the United States.

On a September episode, Michael and Angela visited his mother, Aduke, and revealed their hopes to have a child together. The reality star was told it may be difficult for her to conceive, but the pair remained optimistic about expanding their brood.

Angela has always defended their blossoming romance ever since she appeared on the show. “I did it for him and me to be together, to be married, and get our life. I love him,” she said. “Me and Michael have been together before any of this and we’re going to make it.”
