Squad Goals! ’90 Day Fiance’ Couple Russ and Paola Mayfield’s Cutest Photos

Russ and Paola Mayfield were destined to become fan-favorites from the moment they appeared on the first season of the TLC series 90 Day Fiancé, going on to return for the spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

Although they had some cultural differences during their journey to the altar, Russ and Paola proved their love was worth fighting for as they ended up exchanging their vows. The dynamic duo tied the knot on October 7, 2013. 

They now have a precious son named Axel, who has his own Instagram account updated by his proud parents. He’s got the sweetest personality and smile, so it’s no surprise he already has a staggering following at such a young age!

Paola has posted countless heartwarming moments shared between them over the years, whether it’s a video of Axel rolling his r’s or a photo of herself breastfeeding her baby boy.

In May 2020, the TV personality and her hubby shared an update about their lives amid the coronavirus pandemic on the new limited series 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined.

“This quarantine started off nice to the point we all get to spend time with each other and it’s bringing the family closer. But then over time, it’s starting to wear and tear on us,” the doting dad revealed at the time.

Fortunately, she found a way to earn extra income to help make ends meet. In addition to being a personal trainer, she also obtained her nutritional coach certificate and Zumba instructor certificate. “I’m enjoying it, and it’s doing really good,” Paola said. “I’m really grateful I have a job to provide and help the family.” 

Their romance appeared to hit a rough patch again in August 2021 when Paola dropped hints that she and Russ had split in cryptic posts on social media. 

“Part of the reason why relationships end is that we get caught up in other things, forget to appreciate one another, and sadly, marriage isn’t a priority anymore,” the season 1 personality tweeted at the time, adding in another message, “People asked me why I don’t take pictures with my husband, and my answer is …  I just don’t like to pretend [shrugging emoji] #youareguessingright.”

By October, fans were glad to see their situation appeared to be improving as she took to Instagram with a celebratory message in honor of their eight-year wedding anniversary, proudly sharing, “We are working on it like we always do.”
