’90 Day Fiance’ Stars Mike and Natalie Are Still Legally Married Despite Split

For better or worse? 90 Day Fiancé stars Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva were going through a major rough patch when they filmed season 8, and it had fans questioning if they were going to make it official. Even though they did end up getting married after all, the couple later split and seemingly haven’t looked back. Get an update on Mike and Natalie’s relationship.

Are Mike and Natalie Married?

Although they separated, Natalie and Mike are still technically married. In Touch confirmed the couple tied the knot and became husband and wife. According to online records, they got married in Clallam County, Washington on April 15, 2020.

In Touch can confirm that neither Mike nor Natalie have filed for divorce, according to court records. 

What Happened Leading Up to Their Wedding?

Mike and Natalie made their debut on 90 Day Fiancé season 7, where they documented Mike’s last trip to Ukraine to visit Natalie in Kyiv as they awaited the K-1 visa process. The couple met when their mutual friends asked them to be godparents to their child, but the cracks in their relationship started to show during their time together.

With marriage in the near future, the couple discussed several important topics like religion, finances and whether or not they want kids — and they quickly learned they have opposing views. The tension led to a blowout fight between the couple the night before Mike was set to return to his hometown in Sequim, Washington and Natalie threw her engagement ring in his suitcase. They were still not on good terms when they appeared on the season 7 tell-all. Natalie accused Mike of cheating with a female friend, which he denied, and she also told him she didn’t believe he was her “soulmate.”

When they returned on the 90 Day Fiancé season 8 premiere, their relationship was still on the rocks. They learned Natalie’s K-1 had finally been approved, and they both agreed she should still travel to the U.S. and begin their 90-day journey with the hopes that they would be able to work through their issues before it was time to exchange their vows.

Things took a turn for the worse when Natalie arrived in America. The couple continued to fight over their differing lifestyles and Natalie was upset that Mike refused to set a wedding date or give her back the engagement ring. As a last-ditch effort to save their relationship, Natalie convinced Mike to go to couples’ therapy with her and that’s when he told his fiancée that he was no longer in love with her. Eventually, Mike had a change of heart and decided to repropose to Natalie and finally set a date for their wedding.

All of their drama seems to culminate in a dramatic moment on the March 21 episode. Mike called off their wedding on the morning the ceremony was set to take place. Insisting their relationship was over, Natalie broke down in tears and packed her things to leave Mike’s house. “I’m sorry, I cannot stay in one bed with [a] man who does this to me and it’s f—king too much,” she told the cameras.

Mike’s neighbor, Tamara, agreed to drive Natalie to nearby Seattle where they would stay in a motel room overnight so Natalie could board a flight to Europe the following day, which Mike paid for online. After they set off, they had to turn back around to pick up the card so they could present it at check-in to show as proof. The couple had one more emotional conversation where Mike asked Natalie to give back her engagement ring, which she refused. She also refused when Mike asked to give her one last hug and she started sobbing as she begged Tamara to drive away.

When they arrived, the person at the front desk told them they could not accept a credit card as payment with a different name as the guests who will be staying in the room. “You might have to go back to his house,” Tamara told Natalie before they had to face an awkward return.

Despite the odds and animosity between them after that argument, the pair managed to get past it and still got hitched. 

When Did Mike and Natalie Call It Quits?

In Touch broke the news that Mike and Natalie separated after less than one year of marriage in March. 

“She has not been home for a couple of months now,” Mike’s Uncle Beau Lawrence exclusively told In Touch. “She can stay away for all I care.”

When asked if he thought Mike and Natalies relationship is over for good, Uncle Beau added, “I’m really hoping so. I pray to God, yes.”

In September, Mike was the subject of romance rumors with Rock of Love Bus alum Marcia “Brazil” Alves after she shared photos of themselves spending time together in Henderson, Nevada.
