With Love, Meghan Secrets: What Fans Didn't See on Netflix Show
Meghan Markle’s new TV show on Netflix, With Love, Meghan, premiered on March 4, 2025, and it gave fans a glimpse into her private life as she touched on topics like hosting without stress, honest conversations with friends and more. However, there were a few things that didn’t make it to the final cut.
‘With Love, Meghan’ Wasn’t Filmed in Meghan Markle’s House
Rather than film in the $14 million Montecito, California, mansion she shares with Prince Harry, Meghan made herself at home at a nearby farmhouse worth about $8 million. And eagle-eyed fans noticed she brought along her favorite lemon squeezer.
Meghan Markle Gave a Nod to Princess Diana
Meghan wore a $22,000 Cartier Tank Française watch on the show, which is believed to have belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, and was a gift from Harry. (The watch was reportedly originally left to Prince William, while Harry got Di’s sapphire engagement ring, but the brothers swapped jewels when William proposed to Princess Kate.)
Fun fact: Meghan also owns a two-tone version of the iconic timepiece, which she bought for herself long before she met the prince.

Meghan Markle Hosted a Controversial Guest
Critics have accused one of her guests, chef Alice Waters, of not properly crediting a former coworker for his contributions to her recipes. Alice — who’s been lauded as the creator of farm-to-table organic California cuisine at her Berkeley, California, restaurant, Chez Panisse — “showed me the first Chez Panisse cookbook, and she had taken all of the dinners I had dreamed of, written the menus for and cooked, and said that she did them,” chef Jeremiah Tower alleged in his 2017 documentary Jeremiah Tower: The Last Magnificent. (Alice has denied his claims.) “Alice is an elitist, self-important harpy,” sniffed one foodie online, while another added, “She and Meghan are two peas in a pod.”
Both Harry and Meghan Rule the Kitchen of Their Home
When Meghan served Mindy Kaling a slice of a Victoria sponge cake — a classic English dessert — on the show, the actress called it “one of the most glamorous moments of my life.” But she insisted the duchess’ recipes are actually “really accessible” — and that her cooking “blew me out of the water.” Oh, and “I heard Harry is actually a pretty good cook,” she dished. “He knows his way around a kitchen.”
