Who Is ‘Sister Wives’ Star Gwendlyn Brown?
Gwendlyn is a reality star who appears on Sister Wives. She’s father Kody Brown‘s 10th child and the fourth child her mom, Christine Woolley (née Brown), shares with the family patriarch.
What Does ‘Sister Wives’ Star Gwendlyn Brown Do for a Living?
Gwendlyn previously worked as a chef. As of May 2025, she’s a content creator who started her own Substack page, billing herself as a “micro celebrity w/a biology degree.”
Gwendlyn used to have a Patreon account for fans, where for a monthly fee she provided “ask in-episode questions for me and any potential guest,” as well as monthly “ask me anything sessions” while breaking down Sister Wives episodes.
She suspended posting on Patreon in May 2024, telling subscribers, “TBD if I decide to come back but feel free to watch my older stuff.”
Gwendlyn also has a YouTube channel where she watched old Sister Wives episodes while giving behind the scenes breakdowns, although she hasn’t posted new videos since August 2023.
Gwendlyn Brown Is a College Graduate
The reality star received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Northern Arizona University. Gwendlyn proudly announced she graduated “a semester early” in December 2024. She minored in psychology and Spanish.
Gwendlyn Brown Is Married
Gwendlyn married wife Beatriz Queiroz on July 15, 2023, after a nine-month engagement. The couple tied the knot front of family and friends in an intimate wedding in Flagstaff, Arizona.
When Did Gwenlyn Brown Come Out as Bisexual?
In 2022, Gwendlyn revealed she was dating Beatriz via Instagram. She even shared how they moved in together after dating for four months.
Gwendlyn publicly made the revelation she’s bisexual during an October 2022 episode in season 17 of Sister Wives.
In “Telling Truely,” Gwen said in a confessional, “I’m bisexual. I’m not only attracted to women, I’m also attracted to men and people that fall into other gender spectrums.”
Kody Brown and Christine Brown Are Supportive of Gwendlyn’s Bisexuality
Christine said during Gwendlyn’s coming out episode that she had a feeling about her daughter’s sexual preferences when Kody and Meri Brown‘s child, Leon Brown, came out as a member of the LGBTQ community in season 11. Leon uses they/them prounouns and came out as transgender in 2022.
“Immediately I thought, ‘Oh so is Gwendlyn.’ I knew immediately. And we’ve had just great conversations about it,” Christine said in a confessional about her daughter.
Christine was so supportive, even recalling how Gwendlyn “teases me about having celebrity crushes on women and [suggests] that I’m also partially gay. I’m not, but she loves teasing about it.”
Kody and Christine reunited for Gwen and Beatriz’s engagement party seen in the November 10, 2024, episode of Sister Wives, where the patriarch shared his views.
“I have no problem with Gwen marrying a woman,” Kody said in a confessional. “Gwen came out, but she wasn’t as articulate about it. She talked about how she was attracted to both sexes.”
He added about supporting Gwendlyn, “I specifically had an experience where God said, as God, God said, ‘I judge,’ and he told me, ‘And you love.’ That’s how I live if I can.”
Gwendlyn Brown Underwent a Breast Reduction
The TLC star revealed she had breast reduction surgery in a July 2023 Instagram post, celebrating one year since undergoing the procedure.
“Happy breast reduction anniversary,” she captioned Instagram photos showing herself in a black bikini top prior to the surgery and wearing an orange sports bra after the reduction. “I had the anti-boob surgery done July 11, 2022, so technically yesterday was the anniversary but who’s counting?”
In a YouTube video, Gwendlyn explained how the surgery helped “immensely” with both her “self-image” and her “spine health.”
