‘Jersey Shore’ Alum Deena Cortese Is Getting Married — But What Do We Know About Her Fiancé Chris Buckner?

Pretty soon, three-fifths of the Jersey Shore gals will be married ladies! Deena Cortese will be the next one to walk down the aisle — after Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley — and it’s been a long time coming.

The 30-year-old got engaged to longtime boyfriend Christopher Buckner almost a year ago, after over five years of dating. On Saturday, Oct. 28, the couple will finally make official at Laurita Winery in New Egypt, NJ. But though they’ve been together forever, how much do we really know about her future hubby?

According to Facebook, Chris hails from Edison, NJ. That said, he and Deena currently live near Freehold, about a half hour away from her native New Egypt.

On his profile, Chris lists his job as working for Professional Sports Publications. The company is a publisher of souvenir magazines.

How did he meet Deena?

Deena and Chris explain on their wedding website that they met through mutual friends in 2011, just after she’d finished filming the fourth season of Jersey Shore. They both noticed one another at a local bar, added each other on Facebook, and then eventually met up another night.

Has he been on TV?

You may remember Chris from occasional appearances alongside Deena during the fifth and sixth seasons of Jersey Shore. The pair also appeared on Couples Therapy in 2014.
