Elon Musk is the father of 14 kids by four different women – Justine Wilson, singer Grimes, Shivon Zilis and Ashley St. Clair. Shivon announced that she had welcomed her fourth child with Elon in February 2025, and the public is curious to know more about the women he shares children with.

Justine, a fantasy author, and Elon first met when they were attending Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. She was a freshman at the time, while he was a sophomore.

“He invited me out for ice cream. I said yes, but then blew him off with a note on my dorm-room door,” Justine said in an essay she wrote for Marie Claire in 2010. “Several hours later, my head bent over my Spanish text in an overheated room in the student center, I heard a polite cough behind me. Musk was smiling awkwardly, two chocolate-chip ice cream cones dripping down his hands. He’s not a man who takes no for an answer.”

The two went on to marry in January 2000, and in 2002, they welcomed their first child together. However, their son Nevada Alexander tragically died from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) at just 10 weeks old.

“Nevada went down for a nap, placed on his back as always, and stopped breathing,” Justine wrote in the Marie Claire essay. “By the time the paramedics resuscitated him, he had been deprived of oxygen for so long that he was brain-dead. He spent three days on life support in a hospital in Orange County before we made the decision to take him off it. I held him in my arms when he died.”

After Nevada’s death, Elon and Justine went on to welcome twins, Vivian and Griffin, in 2004, followed by triplets, Kai, Saxon and Damien, in 2006.

The Starlink founder began dating Grimes in 2018, and two years later she gave birth to their first child. The Canadian singer gave birth to son X Æ A-12, but she and Elon later changed his moniker to X Æ A-Xii. In 2021, Grimes and Elon welcomed their second child, a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate. Six months after Exa’s arrival, Grimes gave birth to their second son, Techno Mechanicus.

Elon and the Neuralink executive welcomed twins, Strider and Azure, in November 2021, just one month before Grimes and the SpaceX founder welcomed their daughter. Less than three years later in June 2024, Bloomberg reported that Shevon had given birth to their third child.

On February 28, 2025, Shevon announced that she and Elon had welcomed their fourth child together, along with revealing the name of their third child, which was previously unknown.

“Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus,” Shevon wrote via X at the time. “Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much.”

Ashley St. Clair Claimed to Share 1 Kid With Elon Musk

On Valentine’s Day 2025, Ashley claimed to have given birth to a child fathered by Elon. The social media influencer announced the news via X.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” the mom of two wrote at the time. “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

One week later, she filed a petition for sole custody of the child, according to a report from User Magazine.

“Ashley St. Clair has filed paternity and custody petitions to protect the best interests of her child,” a representative told People on February 22, 2025. “She has made every effort to collaborate with Mr. Musk before taking this step. She has no further comment on the contents of the petitions, which speak for themselves.”

Elon has yet to publicly address the paternity of the child.
