Wendy Williams Shades Duchess Meghan After ITV Documentary: ‘You Knew What You Were Doing’

Nobody is safe — not even royalty! Wendy Williams took a shot and Duchess Meghan after a ITV documentary of the new royal went viral claiming she “didn’t get it” when accepting a life of public scrutiny. The 55-year-old wasn’t buying any of Meghan’s pity on the Tuesday, October 22, episode of The Wendy Williams Show.

“Yes you did. You knew exactly what you were doing,” Wendy replied after viewing the clip. “And I applaud her plot-ation on the royal situation. But please, don’t try to garner sympathy from us. You knew what you were doing.”

“I like them, but her there’s something about her, you know what I’m saying?” Wendy added. “And you know what girl, Meghan, Meghan don’t be surprised at the paparazzi are everywhere. Of course, because you’re now a royal. They weren’t following you when you were on Suits, we didn’t even know who you were except when you came for employment here at Wendy and wanted to be one of our runway models.”

“Meghan, nobody feels sorry for you. You knew what you were signing up for girl!” Wendy said before moving along to her next victim.

In recent weeks, Wendy has named herself the top shade Queen and shows no signs of toning it down. Back in September, the talk show host alleged that Christie Brinkley faked her Dancing With the Stars injury. After stating that the video of the 65-year-old’s fall looked “fake as hell,” Wendy claimed that Christie pretended to have an ailment so her up-and-coming daughter Sailor Cook-Brinkley could fill her shoes and get some camera time.

People were outraged by Wendy’s allegations and defended the model. “And I just think that we’re in a space where like, people need to like, not think that there’s always something devious,” DWTS competitor Karamo Brown told In Touch exclusively on the matter. “It sucks that people, you know, think that there’s some hidden conspiracy but she really hurt herself.”

Wendy is always prepared to give her two cents and share what she thinks the real tea is. She even took aim at Brad Pitt’s estranged relationship with his son Maddox and accused Iggy Azalea of having a “fake body.” There is truly no hiding from Wendy’s shade — not even in Frogmore Cottage.
