Welcome to Plathville star Ethan Plath introduced fans to his new girlfriend nearly two years after his split from Olivia Plath.

Ethan, 26, took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 1, to share several photos of him and his new girlfriend. “Proud to introduce my sweet girlfriend! She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest and patient people I’ve ever known!” the TLC personality wrote alongside the snapshots. “Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring. Wishing everyone a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”

While Ethan shared several photos of his new girlfriend, he did not reveal her name or tag her in the post. He also didn’t share any information about how they met.

Ethan and Olivia, 26, filed for divorce in February 2024 after five years of marriage, and they listed their date of separation as February 25, 2023.

The divorce filing came four months after Olivia and Ethan announced their separation in October 2023.

“Ethan and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote via social media at the time. “I have ambivalent memories of us being 18 years old, innocently dreaming of forever – but the partner you choose is a reflection of the world you want to live in, and at 18 I didn’t know who I was or what kind of life I wanted to create for myself. 7 years later, I’ve already begun my journey of questioning, deconstructing and rebuilding and I know that is a process that I will continue to prioritize throughout my life.”

Following their split, Olivia revealed her relationship with her new boyfriend in July 2024. While she initially kept his identity a secret, she revealed his name is Brendan and they officially debuted their relationship during a September 2024 episode of the reality show.

“I have been dating Brendan for a few months,” she explained during the episode, revealing that they met on the set of one of the wedding photoshoots she was working at.

“They had this dog that they wanted in their portrait and low and behold, the cutest little dog walker in D.C. brings this dog for the portraits,” she continued about their first meeting. “And there was this little flirty eye contact.”

While Olivia was eager to move on following her split from Ethan, he was much less enthusiastic about finding love again. During an October 2024 episode, Ethan admitted he was having a hard time following their decision to part ways and said “some days are better than others.”

“I don’t really know why we couldn’t have made it work out,” the TLC personality added about his relationship with Olivia.

Ethan went on to admit that he wasn’t happy with how he and Olivia ended their marriage. “Even just having a relationship with [the family] was so complicated when we were together, and I don’t think it should be that way when you’re with someone,” he said, referencing Olivia’s consistent tension with his parents and siblings.
