Unbothered! Victor Cruz DGAF About Chris Brown Commenting on His Instagram: ‘Negativity Doesn’t Faze Me’
He’s turning a blind eye to negativity. Former NFL player Victor Cruz said he did not fret when Chris Brown threw some major shade at the athlete on social media. The athlete is currently dating the rapper’s former flame, Karrueche Tran.
“Negativity doesn’t faze me at all,” the 32-year-old told Us Weekly about the matter at the Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day event in New York City on Wednesday, September 11. “I don’t get it any attention, to be honest,” he said, adding, “No negativity comes across my palate!”
Back in June, the “No Guidance” singer, 30, made a series of unkind comments under one of the athlete’s Instagram posts. “Nothing bad or major. UPGRADE HIM SIS,” he said to his ex about her new man. “I’ll take him around to style him. NOT HATE. He just need some game spirit,” the singer wrote. “Peace love and joy. JUST PLEASE UPGRADE YA MAN BOO.”
Although the comments are now deleted, Chris continued to write, “No shade boo, BUT PLEASE STYLE HIM. He look like he shopping off the manikin [sic] and trying to bargain wit the sales manager. Retired wrestler pants. I’M F–KING AROUND … god bless.”
The artist quickly took to his Instagram Story to state that the comments were made by an imposter. “People going out they way. Leave them people alone and stop creating unnecessary drama! Whoever’s been DM any of my followers or commenting as me is lame asf,” he said.
The rapper and Karrueche, 31, dated on and off from 2010 to 2015. The Claws actress started dating the Victor in December of 2017 and it seems like the two are very happy together. “She’s just everything I look for in a woman,” The former New York Giants player said of his lady. “She’s compassionate, and she’s empathetic. She understands me. She understands what I like and don’t like and vice versa.” It looks like nothing Chris can do will scare this baller away!
