Someone is a fan of Kanye West‘s Twitter fingers — and his name is Tristan Thompson. The NBA star has been making headlines since he was caught cheating on girlfriend Khloé Kardashian just days before she gave birth to their daughter True. Now, however, the negative attention has shifted to the Make America Great Again hat-wearing Kanye and Tristan couldn’t be happier.

“Tristan has no idea what is going on with Kanye right now. Tristan isn’t necessarily enjoying seeing Kanye throw away his image to promote his projects, but he’s happy that all of the negative attention that has been directed at him has shifted to berating Kanye for his actions on social media,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Tristan has felt like the black sheep for the last three weeks ever since his cheating scandal came to light, so he’s glad there is someone else in the Kardashian realm that people can be angry with. Tristan is incredibly sorry for what he’s done, but he isn’t feeling badly for Kanye in anyway.”

On April 7, Tristan was caught hooking up with Instagram model Lani Blair in NYC — prompting fans to dub the Cleveland Cavaliers star “Third Trimester Tristan,” alluding to the fact that he also cheated on his then five-month pregnant girlfriend Jordan Craig with Khloé. Since then, Tristan has not seen much playing time during the playoffs — and is struggling to repair his relationship with the KUWTK star.

“[Tristan]’s been in Khloé’s ears apologizing, telling her that these videos aren’t what they look like,” a source told In Touch exclusively. “He’s telling her that the girl he was with at the hotel is [a friend of a friend] and that the video of him kissing that chick last year was a stupid bet he made with one of his teammates.” Right…

Meanwhile, Kanye has been on a non-stop Twitter rant, proclaiming his love for Donald Trump and comparing himself to Steve Jobs. “You don’t have to agree with Trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought,” he tweeted before adding, “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.” Keep the tweets coming — for Tristan’s sake.
