What a difference! The Challenge star Aneesa Ferreira showed off her dramatic weight loss over the past year in a series of Instagram selfies.

“Picture on the left is from before season 40. The pic in the middle was after All Stars 5 and the last picture is me as of 2 days ago,” Aneesa, 43, wrote in the caption of her Tuesday, January 28, post. It showed her in a black bra top and leggings from early 2024, along with a similar outfit from midway through the year after filming The Challenge: All Stars: Rivals season 5 in Argentina.

The show premiered on January 29 on MTV. By then, Aneesa looked completely different than she did on the current season, as she’s now flaunting a tight tummy and slimmer hips – as seen in the final photo – while revealing exactly how much weight she’s lost.

“I was about 223 at my highest weight. I got down to about 213-210 when I got with my coach. I lost 9 lbs. on (The Challenge season) 40. That was in March,” Aneesa explained.

“It has taken a lot of hard work and consistency both in and out of the gym to get there,” the longtime reality star admitted. “Most of all, it took courage and mental toughness. Losing weight isn’t about the challenge (the show), it’s about what I want the rest of my life to look like. I work hard so I can be healthier and feel good.”

Anessa admitted things don’t “get easier” when it comes to shedding pounds as one gets older. “Factor in genetics, surgeries/injuries, mental health, disorders, medications, hormones and you have the perfect recipe to make losing weight even harder,” she told fans.

The Narberth, Pennsylvania, native advised follower to “bet on yourself. Put in the work for you! Love yourself and give yourself the gift of good health. You don’t have to lift heavy or run marathons, but movement is crucial for a richer life.”

Fellow The Challenge stars as well as fans cheered on Aneesa’s weight loss journey.

“Honestly, your dedication to this has been unmatched. Only few see the bts of the work you’ve put in day in and day out, between meal prep and dedication. I’m honored to be one of the few to see the daily devotion! I love you! You inspire me sis!!” Tori Deal cheered in the comments.

“I love you every way, but GOD DAMN you look incredible. Bravo baby,” The Challenge franchise star Ryan Kehoe added.

A female fan commented, “I have loved you from day 1!!! You’re encouraging me in so many ways! Aneesa, you’re such a great person and you’ve always looked amazing. However, cheers to this era of being unapologetically your health self. Always remember you uplift people like me with your honest posts.”

MTV viewers have been following Aneesa’s life for more than two decades. She made her debut on the network on The Real World: Chicago in 2002. Aneesa has gone on to appear in numerous The Challenge franchise series, including making in to the finals of The Gauntlet 2, The Duel II, All Stars 1 and Ride or Dies.
