‘Teen Mom’ Stars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra’s Daughter Says She Looks Up to Adopted Sister Carly

Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra’s daughter Novalee opened up about her relationship with her adopted sister, Carly Davis.

“With meeting Carly and spending time with Carly, [that’s] one of the best things that’s ever happened,” Nova, 11, said during the Wednesday, March 4, episode of her parents’ Cate and Ty Break It Down podcast. “I’ve never been able to look up to somebody before. And it’s the best feeling ever to have.”

After selecting Brandon and Teresa Davis to raise their newborn daughter during season 1 of 16 & Pregnant, the Baltierras went on to welcome three more daughters. In addition to Nova, Catelynn and Tyler, 34, share daughters Vaeda, 7, and Rya, 4.

The couple reunited with the daughter they placed for adoption as teenagers during a summer trip in 2023.

“Had an amazing visit with our girl,” Catelynn, 33, shared via Instagram at the time. “Adoption is hard and saying goodbye time and time again is soooo hard!!!! But seeing all of our girls together, getting to know Carly deeper and deeper each time and being with all four of our daughters is truly such a blessing!!!!”

Nova said on the podcast that she wishes that Carly, 16, “would be in our family.”

“And after that interaction, I’ve been trying to be more sensitive to my sisters because I noticed with Carly, how that feeling felt,” Nova continued. “Like always wanting to spend time with her. Always wanting to do the stuff that she does during those few days when we were spending time with her…It really made me just look up to somebody, and it just gave me a lot of happiness.”

“You did a good decision when you were a teenager,” Novalee told her mom. “Because you didn’t have enough expenses and I think it would’ve been really, really hard building to go up.”
