After Ryan Edwards was arrested for violating his probation in relation to heroin possession charges in March, the Teen Mom OG star has finally been sentenced. Ryan was spotted entering the Red Bank City Court in Tennessee earlier this week for his sentencing hearing, and luckily for him, he got off pretty easily.

"Ryan got six months probation and five public work days. He has random drug tests in between," a source told Radar about Ryan's sentence. His legal issues stem from a citation that was issued to him last March, when he was pulled over by police for an expired registration. During the traffic stop, an officer noticed there was an open backpack on the passenger seat and inside of it was a hypodermic needle.

The cop asked Ryan if he had any medical conditions that would require him to have hypodermic needles, and he said "no," and that's when the officer decided to search Ryan's car. After the search, police confiscated 14 needles — one of which was loaded with heroin — and a bag of heroin that weighed 1.8 grams. Cops also found two silver spoons with a residue on them and a scale.

The father-of-one — he shares nine-year-old son Bentley with his ex Maci Bookout — was charged wiith a misdemeanor for simple possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia, and an expired registration. He pled guilty to simple possession of heroin charge, and he was originally sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail — but instead of serving time, he paid a $750 fine and because of his good behavior, he was ordered to take drug screenings for six months. The possession of drug paraphernalia and expired registration offenses were dropped.

Three months after his arrest, Ryan entered rehab for his heroin addiction and he was supposedly clean afterwards — but he was arrested again in March 2018 for violating his probation after he failed a drug test. His wife, Mackenzie Edwards — who is currently pregnant with his second child — was not at his sentencing hearing.
