‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Mackenzie Edwards Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 2 With Ryan

Congrats are in order! Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie Edwards is pregnant and expecting baby No. 2 with her husband, Ryan Edwards. She took to Instagram on Friday, July 5 to share the big news along with the first glimpse at their baby.

“Baby Girl Edwards is coming in January! 🎀,” Mackenzie, 22, wrote in the caption of a sonogram photo.

This baby marks Mackenzie’s second child with her 31-year-old husband, but it will also be her third child and his third child since they each have children from previous relationships. Mackenzie has a 4-year-old son named Hudson from a previous relationship and Ryan shares 10-year-old son Bentley with his ex, Maci Bookout. The couple welcomed their first child together, 9-month-old so Jagger, in October 2018, but Mackenzie gave birth to their child without Ryan because he was still in rehab for substance abuse at the time.

Ryan left rehab in November and was only home with his family for two months when he was arrested on January 23, on possession of heroin and theft charges. After his arrest, he showed up in court on January 28,  he learned that his case would be continued on April 15, and he was ordered to serve time in jail until then. Ryan’s theft charge stemmed from an incident where he dashed out on his $36 tab at a Chattanooga bar where he had been drinking, but the theft charge was dismissed in February. He still remained in jail until April because of the possession of heroin charge.

He was released from jail on April 15, and MTV cameras captured the moment that Ryan returned home from his jail stint. But Ryan also struggled with getting back into his normal routine after jail and he wasn’t ready to talk about his jail experience on camera. 

“He like, won’t leave the house at all,” Mackenzie said about Ryan’s traumatizing jail stint. “Yeah and I touched him and his body was just like vibrating — it’s just like, classic anxiety.”
