At least there’s one good thing that came out of Jenelle Evans‘ recent feud with her mom Barbara Evans — Jenelle’s son Jace gets to celebrate his eighth birthday with two parties! The Teen Mom 2 star took to Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 5 to share photos from his outdoors themed party.
“Party time, 8 years young!” the 25-year-old captioned the post. Using the carousel feature on Instagram, she shared a photo of her son smiling right before he blew his candles out on his birthday cake. In another shot, he posed for a group photo with his party guests, which included Jace’s little brother Kaiser and Jenelle’s fiancé David Eason’s nine-year-old daughter Maryssa.

Jenelle planned the second party for her son, whose actual birthday is on Aug. 3, because she was banned from the party that Barbara threw for Jace last weekend. After Babs took to Instagram to share a photo from her party and Jenelle wasn’t in the photo, fans started to speculate that the mother/daughter duo were feuding again.
“Yeah, she doesn’t care,” Jenelle wrote on Twitter earlier this week, confirming that she wasn’t invited to her own son’s birthday party. “I’m going to have his own party this weekend. No big deal, [it] just hurts Jace’s feelings.”
Barbara and Jenelle have always had a tumultuous relationship and it all stems back to the moment that Jenelle signed over custody of her son to her mother. At the time, Jenelle was a teenager whose hard partying and drug and alcohol use was landing her in trouble with the law. But now that she’s older, she’s gotten clean and has bettered herself and she’s ready to have full custody of her son, but Barbara refuses to let go of Jace.

But Jenelle claims that custody isn’t the reason for their current feud, it’s because Jenelle refuses to invite her mother to her upcoming wedding to David. “She’s mad I didn’t invite her to the wedding I guess so she said she was doing her own birthday with Jace,” she previously told Radar Online.
