Survivors Boston Rob Mariano Celebrates 20th Wedding Anniversary With Amber Brkich 942
It’s been more than two decades since Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano and Amber Brkich found love on the beaches of Survivor. The couple — who met while competing on Survivor: All Stars — celebrated 20 years of marriage on Thursday, April 17.
“So crazy … 2 kids that met on an island,” Rob, 49, captioned a tribute post dedicated to his wife, 46, on Instagram. “Happy Anniversary! #20Years.” In the photo, a framed picture of the couple — likely taken from the show — captured a smiling Rob holding Amber in his arms as she lovingly wrapped hers around him.
Survivor’s official Instagram directly replied to the adorable post, writing, “The most beautiful love story to grace our TVs.”
Rob and Amber’s love story began when they were contestants on Survivor: All-Stars, which aired in 2004. The pair quickly connected and formed an alliance that soon turned romantic. Their close bond carried them all the way to the final round, where Amber won in a close 4-3 vote — after Rob proposed to her just before the winner was announced.
“I’ve seen you at your highest high and your lowest low and between it all we work together as a team to accomplish so much,” Rob said during the episode. “And in the end, I ended up falling in love with you. You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met in my entire life and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Cameras followed Rob and Amber’s road down the aisle during Rob and Amber Get Married, which premiered in 2005. Survivor fans watched as the couple planned their beach wedding and celebrated their nuptials at Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas alongside their family and friends.
“You will never, EVER, see anything like this ever again!! I had pizza and champagne the night that it aired; that’s how good it was!!” one fan gushed in the comments section of a YouTube video of the Rob and Amber Get Married special. “There was a reason we all went nuts over Rob and Amber’s engagement and marriage: nothing like this had ever happened in the then-4 years Survivor had been on the air. And, as I said, you will never see anything like this, ever again!!”
After tying the knot, the couple moved to Florida to begin their new life together. In July 2009, Rob and Amber welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lucia. Their family continued to grow with the arrivals of daughters Carina in December 2010, Isabetta in May 2012 and Adelina in June 2014.
As of May 2024, the Traitors star admitted that their four girls had yet to watch their parents’ love story unfold on Survivor.
“When they were younger, we didn’t want them to. It was a little bit harsh at the end there. But I think they’re old enough now that they could handle it,” Rob told People at the time. “Who knows … maybe we’ll do a viewing party this summer.”
