Spencer Pratt is reaching out to his followers on TikTok for help after he and wife Heidi Montag lost their home in the devastating California fires.

“If possible, can you go to the post before this and watch and like that video?” Spencer, 41, said in a video he posted on January 11. “Because I’ll get up to $1,100 from TikTok if it’s one of the top 10 most liked TikToks with that song, so, more likely $200, but it can go up to $1,100.”

The video the former reality TV star was referring to a previous video he had posted that featured the song “What It Feels Like” by Aly & AJ.

He continued, “So, if you’re bored, please go like that video. It’s a great song, actually, and Aly & AJ wear Pratt Daddy Crystals. My friend Amber goes to all their shows and gives them all crystals, so it’s kind of an authentic promo since they wear my crystals. I also want to get that $1,100.”

The Hills alum was one of the first celebrities to reveal that his home had been destroyed by the fires after updating fans about the spreading flames via social media.

“We got a fire going on behind the house here, say a prayer for the Palisades here, there’s the town, there is the fire…” Spencer said in a video shared on TikTok on January 7. “OK, that’s pretty black smoke, [I] should go home and start packing up the house.”

Hours later he posted another update and said that he was “watching [his] house burn down on the security cameras.”

The dad of two has kept his fans in the loop regarding his situation, but it’s also brought several people who criticized his request for help. One person who commented, “Of course Spencer’s gonna milk his burned down house for every dollar it’s worth,” quickly found themselves in the crosshairs of Spencer’s clapbacks.

“How do you people not have brains? Are you just the stupidest living creatures?” Spencer said in a clip he posted on January 10. “Of course I’m trying to get money to pay for my life with my family because our house and all of our possessions burned down.”

He continued, “And if I can do it on social media, which I’ve been making the only money I’ve made for years now continuously, showing my journey of our house burning down and all of our possessions, do you not think I’m going to keep milking it for every dollar?”

Several celebrities have either lost their houses in the fires and/or had to evacuate for safety reasons. This Is Us star Mandy Moore’s home was destroyed and she also found herself on the receiving end of backlash after she asked fans via social media to donate to her brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s GoFundMe. However, it didn’t take long for her to put the critics in their place.

“And people questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic,” Mandy, 40, wrote. “Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe and I’m sharing because people have asked how they can help them. We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.”
