Sister Wives’ Paedon Speaks Out After Fans Thought He Shaded Robyn on Mother’s Day: ‘It Was a Joke’

Sister Wives alum Paedon Brown spoke out after fans accused him of shading Robyn Brown in a viral Mother’s Day tribute.

“It was entirely a joke,” Paedon, 26, told his followers in a TikTok post on Monday, May 12. “I have forgiven everyone from my past and really important, I don’t think about them. They don’t cross my mind.”

Paedon was at the center of controversy on Mother’s Day after he posted a video message sending well wishes to “almost every mother out there.”

“Not every single mother — there’s at least one I’m not wishing happy Mother’s Day … because I’m a butt-muncher sometimes,” the TLC personality said in a video posted on Sunday, May 11, as he sat in the driver’s seat of his car. In the caption, he clarified, “No, I am not excluding anybody specific, I just thought it was funny. But people will definitely choose to run away with anything they want.”

Many of Paedon’s TikTok followers quickly assumed he was excluding Robyn, 46, the only one of Kody Brown‘s four wives who remains with him.

“Happy Mother’s Day to Christine, Janelle and Meri!!” one fan wrote in the comment section. While another user added, “*Cough cough* Robin *cough cough.*”

“Robyn, it’s you,” a third fan quipped.

Paedon is the son of Kody Brown, 56, and his second wife, Christine Brown Woolley. Kody was previously married to Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Christine, 53, all of whom left him between 2021 and 2023. Christine has since remarried, tying the knot with husband David Woolley in October 2023.

Kody’s estranged relationship with his children has been a hot topic on the family’s reality TV show, Sister Wives. The father of 18 believed the distance from his adult children stemmed from their failure to accept his relationship with his last remaining wife.

“My children will always be my children and the door will always be open to them. They’ve got to come through that door,” Kody said during the January 12 episode of Sister Wives. “I’m going to be holding a hand out for that, but I’m going to be holding this hand that’s next to me, and I won’t let go of that hand. I will not cut off Robyn to have a relationship with my children.”

However, Janelle, 56, slammed the idea and said it instead centered on how involved Kody has been as a parent to his older children. “Kody has this idea that somehow if he leaves Robyn home, he’s going to be able to come to these family gatherings,” the North Carolina resident said during a December 2024 episode, while explaining that Kody wasn’t invited to their daughter Savanah Brown‘s high school graduation party. “And that’s so far from the truth.”

Janelle then explained that his strained relationships with his older children were the reason why he wasn’t invited to the family event. “Kody is alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children. He is not really wanted at events. He’s not coming regardless of who he brings or doesn’t bring with him,” the mother of six said.

Although Kody has yet to reconcile with his children, he did admit that he had regrets about not spending more time with them during a November 2024 episode.

“There’s this struggle that I’ve had because I had this big picture that got shattered,” he continued while reflecting on the end of his once-polygamous family. “But I have a safe, kind and sweet place with my wife Robyn. Then I have tons of guilt because I’m not more involved with everybody else that’s out there.”
