Sister Wives star Meri Brown admitted she had second thoughts about her decision to divorce ex-husband Kody Brown.
After fans watched Kody, 55, break down in tears as Meri, 53, prepared to move from Arizona to Utah during the November 24 episode, the mother of one questioned if leaving their spiritual marriage was the right choice.
“I’m so confused,” Meri said of Kody’s emotional reaction during a confessional featured in the Sunday, December 1, episode. “Part of me was like, ‘Oh s–t what have I done? Maybe I did the wrong thing.’”
Despite being sad to say goodbye to Meri, Kody insisted that ending their marriage was the right decision in his own confessional.
“This moment with Meri is me moving from the anger to just this moment of grief,” he said of the moment, explaining why he grew emotional. “And just trying to be safe in it, sit in it, own it and heal it.”
Kody then acknowledged that his behavior “confused” both Meri and her brother Nathan Dilts as they helped her move out of her Arizona home.
“When we get in my car and drive off, he just touches me and says, ‘Friend, you know I’m not one to push, but are you sure?’” the father of 18 said of his former brother-in-law. “I said, ‘Brother, if you don’t understand now, I don’t know how I’m going to be able to make you understand.’”
Kody continued to explain his thought process during the emotional moment, explaining that he had no regrets when it came to splitting from Meri. “I’m not questioning whether we’re doing the right thing. I know that Meri and I can’t be married. And I’m not questioning, you know, our experience because it’s a great memory,” he said in a confessional. “It’s just the end.”
While Kody seemed positive that they’re better off divorced, Meri admitted that she was unsure of the decision and recalled all of the mixed messages the businessman had sent her.
“If you’re so clear that you don’t ever want to be married to me, oh, and you’re also saying things like you ‘never loved me,’” the TLC personality said in a confessional. “But you’re sitting here sobbing about ‘the end of an era’ and ‘we had something special,’ which one is it?”

Meri concluded the topic by insisting that she was not “running back to him or anything like that.” She continued, “It’s just that like, is he really sad about it? I question, I think that’s normal. Like when you have a split, you question, ‘Wait, did I do the right thing?’”
The former couple announced their split after 33 years of plural marriage in January 2023. Their spiritual divorce came after Christine Brown left Kody in November 2021 and Janelle Brown ended their marriage in December 2022.
Kody is still married to his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, while Meri is currently embracing her life as a single lady.
Also during the December 1 episode, viewers even got a glimpse into Meri’s first solo trip following their divorce. “I am in London!” she said. “I’m standing in front of the Buckingham Palace. Oh my gosh. I have never been to London before. This is seriously kind of a defining moment. The world is my oyster.”
