Sister Wives star Meri Brown has taken out a third loan on her Parowan, Utah, bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, In Touch has confirmed via the Deed of Trust.

The U.S. Sun was first to report on Meri’s latest loan, which was dated December 23, 2024. “The note evidences the legal obligation of each borrower who signed the note to pay lender $485,000 plus interest,” the document reads. However, the reality star, 53, has plenty of time to pay the loan back in full.

“Each Borrower who signed the Note has promised to pay this debt in regular monthly payments and to pay the debt in full no later than January 1, 2055,” it continues.

Meri took out her latest loan through mortgage lender company Newrez LLC, according to the documents. She is listed as the sole borrower.

The TLC star purchased the home and took out the original mortgage for $346,500 in October 2017, The U.S. Sun reported. She took out a second home rider for $308,000 in April 2018.

At the time, Meri was still living in Flagstaff, Arizona, and was still in a plural marriage with former husband Kody Brown, and sister wives Christine Brown, Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown.

On the season 12 premiere of Sister Wives in January 2019, Meri asked the group for a $40,000 loan to purchase the bed and breakfast, which was a home that was built by her great-great-grandparents in 1870. Kody told her, “We just don’t have it,” when it came to the money and they also questioned her business model and refusal to make anyone else business partners.

“I knew that the funds were not there. I just felt like, well, I’m just going to have to go do it then. So that’s why I got up and I left and I started working, because I knew that I needed to figure it out because it was something important to me,” Meri told Us Weekly at the time. She began working as a LuLaRoe retailer in 2016.

“It’s not the type of thing that needs a whole lot of hands-on,” she continued about the home, which was a five-hour drive from Flagstaff. “I’ve got employees that I hired that are there doing the cooking and cleaning and stuff like that, and my mom is there.”

Meri told fans in an August 28, 2024, Instagram post on Lizzie’s Heritage Inn’s Instagram page that it was “time to say goodbye … If only for a moment.”

“This beautiful 154-year-old home is in need of some tlc and needs some renovation, so I’ve made the decision to shut down the b&b for regular visits,” she explained. “At this point, I don’t know how long it will be closed, I suppose that all depends on what ends up happening as we go through the process!”

Meri said she would “still have special events where you can come see the home, so be sure to pay attention to the website for that info,” although the site says the Inn is no longer taking reservations.

“But for now, enjoy these photos of what ‘was’ and look forward with me to what will be! I’ve got some fun and exciting things planned for these spaces! The next little while will be filled with fun and anticipation, and I’m excited for what’s to come!” Meri added about the renovations.

Meri left Flagstaff following her January 2023 split from Kody after more than 30 years together. By April, she relocated to living in her bed and breakfast in Parowan, a small town in southwest Utah.
