Sister Wives star Christine Brown is ready to spill the tea in her upcoming tell-all book, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Finding Freedom. What is the book about and when does it come out?

What Is Sister Wives’ Christine Brown’s Book About?

Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Finding Freedom is described as “a groundbreaking and heartfelt memoir about living in a family like no other and finding the strength to leave Mormonism—and the only life she’s known—behind,” according to Simon and Schuster’s website.

The book will mark the first time Christine has shared her “journey that led her away from the Mormon church and the bold path she is carving to live apart from all she has ever known.”

“Moving, genuine and insightful, this is a uniquely powerful tour de force of Christine’s journey toward and beyond her time in the spotlight as a sister wife,” the description reads.

Fans can expect to hear about Christine’s decision to leave ex-husband Kody Brown in November 2021, as well as her former sister wives Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown.

Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Calls Her Memoir ‘Gritty’

The TV personality officially announced her new book in an Instagram post shared on February 4, 2024.

“I have a book about my life coming soon!! You can preorder it TODAY,” she wrote alongside a photos of her posing in different blazers. “It is gritty and honest as I tell my story living polygamy as a child, to my marriage and family life. It shows my heartache with leaving religion and my marriage to FINALLY meeting @david__woolley.”

She continued, “I’m so excited I partnered with @kellyskennedy the AMAZING and talented author (I did NOT write it myself even though every word is mine) I’m grateful to @simonandschuster for believing in my book and publishing it! Special thanks to @schmidt_elizaj for my hair and makeup for my book cover.”

What Other Books Has Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Published?

Becoming Sister Wives broke down their unique family dynamic and looked at how their polygamous lifestyle differed from more conventional monogamous relationships.

Why Did Christine Brown Leave Kody Brown?

While Christine is now happily married to husband David Woolley following their October 2023 wedding, she has also been open about why her first marriage to Kody didn’t work out.

Christine and Kody had grown apart over the years, and she revealed they hit a roadblock when he admitted he didn’t want an “intimate relationship” with her.

“He said, ‘I’m not interested in having an intimate marriage anymore,’” Christine recalled during a January 2022 episode. “I’m not OK staying in a marriage where there’s no intimacy.”

However, Christine said she had her “final straw” in their relationship when Kody refused to support their daughter Ysabel when she underwent corrective surgery for her scoliosis.

“He broke my little girl’s heart,” the mother of six told People on August 25, 2022, referring to Kody’s decision to not see a specialist with Ysabel and Christine during a September 2020 appointment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I really find it hard to stay with a guy who I don’t respect. I understood COVID, and why he couldn’t come, but she didn’t. And she still has a really hard time with it.”
