Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn’s divorce lawyer asked a judge for permission to drop the reality star as a client due to a “breakdown” in their relationship, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Christine’s lawyer, Hossein Berenji, asked for an emergency hearing to go over the matter.

He explained he is seeking to be relieved as Christine’s attorney in the case due to a “complete and irreconcilable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship that makes continued representation of the client impossible.”

A hearing has been set for April 15, where Hossein can make his case to drop Christine, 36.

As In Touch previously reported, Christine and her estranged husband, Christian Dumontet, who wed in 2019 and split in 2024, have been fighting in court for months.

The police were called to their home after Christine accused Christian of throwing a bag of glass that allegedly hit their son on accident. He denied the accusations.

The police took Christian into custody on an assault with a deadly weapon charge. He was released from jail after posting a $30,000 bond.

Christian filed for divorce from Christine weeks later. He claimed the marriage was over due to “irreconcilable differences” and asked for sole custody of their son.

Christian also asked that Christine’s right to collect spousal support be terminated.

In addition, Christine and Christian filed restraining orders against the other. The court ended up granting Christine a temporary restraining order requiring Christine to stay 100 yards away. She was also awarded exclusive use of their L.A. home.

As In Touch first reported, months after Christine was awarded exclusive use of the home, Christian rushed to court claiming she was not maintaining the home properly.

His lawyer said, “It is clear that [Christine] is not maintaining the property as the martial home, nor the familial home for the child. [Christine] does not reside at the property nor has she maintained it since at least July of this year.”

Christian’s lawyer said, “[Christine] is now in violation of the [court order requiring] her to maintain the property.” Christine opposed Christian’s request.

She recently revealed she moved to Texas.

“I really didn’t have a choice. I was granted an emergency protective order so my ex couldn’t come to the house. He violated that, and would keep coming back,” she told People in an interview earlier this week.

Christine spoke out about her split from Christian in detail for the first time.

She told People, “There were times where my husband, literally, where I had to go to work and he would lay himself under my car.”

“Or, he would shut the gates down so I couldn’t leave. It was bad,” she alleged.

Christine also claimed Christian locked her out of her bank account and credit cards.

“People really don’t know this. I was hacked out of my entire life. I was stripped of my entire life overnight — I literally had nothing. And it was dehumanizing,” she claimed. Christine said, “I was completely resourceless.”

Christian’s team did not respond to repeated requests for comment from People, according to the outlet.
