Selena Gomez Makes Her Comeback With Cardi B During Surprise Appearance at Coachella

She’s back! Selena Gomez has had it pretty rough over the past six months, but she is still surviving and thriving after her recent mental health struggles. The 26-year-old made her big comeback to the stage during a surprise Coachella performance with Cardi B as they performed their hit track “Taki Taki” with Ozuna during DJ Snake‘s set on Friday, April 12.

Sel stepped out onstage wearing an all-white pants suit and her long, dark hair styled in loose waves. Her appearance not only marked the first time Sel has performed live since she made a guest appearance during her bestie Taylor Swift‘s Reputation tour in May 2018, but it’s also the former Disney star’s first-ever performance at Coachella.

Cardi, 26, took to Instagram to share a group shot of her with Sel and DJ Snake. “Coachella and I love them,” the rapper captioned the pic.

Ozuna, 27, also took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Sel backstage. “A beautiful woman with a lot of energy. I bet on you and I’m here for you. God bless you my love!! @selenagomez #Coachella2019,” the 27-year-old wrote in the caption.

In October 2018, Selena was hospitalized twice for complications due to her 2017 kidney transplant. During the second hospitalization, Selena reportedly had a panic attack and she checked herself into a rehab treatment center.

She stayed in rehab for a month and after she left, an insider revealed to In Touch that she continued with therapy sessions. “Selena’s out of rehab but regularly attends therapy to keep her on the right track,” the source said. “Although Selena still has her insecurities, she’s in a much better headspace than she was a couple of months ago.”

In January 2019, Selena returned to Instagram after a four-month hiatus. “It’s been a while since you have heard from me, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and to thank you for your love and support,” Selena wrote in her caption. “Last year was definitely a year of self-reflection, challenges and growth. It’s always those challenges which show you who you are and what you are capable of overcoming. Trust me, it’s not easy, but I am proud of the person I am becoming and look forward to the year ahead. Love you all.”
