Savannah Guthrie is continuing to lean on faith, family, and hope as the search for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, stretches into its fourth heartbreaking month.
The Today host, 54, shared an emotional message via her Instagram Story on Sunday, June 7, pairing a haunting line of text with a picture showing Christ’s ascension.
“Oh my, my soul it cries out, soul, it cries out,” was written on the church painting, as well as adding a simple but urgent plea: “Bring her home.”
Nancy, 84, is believed to have been abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home in the early hours of February 1 by a masked intruder, according to authorities. Since then, there has been no breakthrough in the search or any answers to exactly what happened.
On May 12, People reported Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos provided an update, saying multiple agencies, including the FBI, are still working through evidence in hopes of a breakthrough.
Throughout the ordeal, Savannah has used social media to express both grief and faith. In March, she shared the same biblical image with the words “I believe, I believe” written across it.
Just one day earlier, she and her siblings Annie and Camron released a joint statement thanking the Tucson community for its overwhelming support.
Savannah returned to work on Today on April 6, but she continues to hope and pray for news of her mother.
On Mother’s Day, she posted a moving video tribute featuring moments of her mother’s life.
“Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie — we miss you with our every breath,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you.”
