Sabrina Burkholder's Ex Scottie's Protection Order Violation Dropped
Return to Amish alum Sabrina Burkholder’s ex-boyfriend Scottie Harville’s domestic violence protection order violation has been dropped, In Touch can exclusively confirm.
Scottie, 30, had a court hearing for the case on March 10, where prosecutors dropped the case, In Touch confirmed via online court records.
Sabrina’s ex was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor for violating the reality star’s protection order on February 4 after he repeatedly sent her letters from jail, where he is currently serving a two-year sentence connected to a previous domestic violence incident involving Sabrina, 38. He pleaded not guilty on February 6.
Sabrina took to her Instagram on February 12 to share that she and Scottie had split and give details on his arrest for domestic violence.
“In September 2024, my ex was charged with strangulation, kidnapping, and tampering with a witness. I found out last week that I’ve been walking around with a sprained neck for the past five months. Today I was referred to a neurosurgeon,” she captioned a selfie. Posting this to remind y’all that you’re not alone. I go through s–t too. Here’s to all abuse survivors – I see you and I’m proud of you.”
The update came three days after the Breaking Amish alum took to Facebook to share Sarasota County, Florida, sentencing paperwork that showed her ex was now behind bars. Sabrina also described the alleged incident that led to his arrest.

“He picked up a metal table and was holding it over my head ready to bash my skull in. Thank God I was able to call the cops, and he dropped the table and grabbed my phone. I will never forget running as fast as I could out the lane,” she claimed. “If the cops hadn’t showed up immediately, while I was running for my life, I’d probably be dead. Thank God I managed to escape in the nick of time.”
Sarasota County, Florida, Circuit Court paperwork obtained by In Touch revealed that Scottie was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, domestic battery by strangulation and tampering with a witness on September 13, 2024. Sabrina filed a petition for injunction on October 15, 2024. The protection order was approved on October 30, 2024.
Scottie was found guilty and ordered to serve two years in jail, plus two years of probation.
Sabrina and Scottie’s split came after the TLC personality announced in February 2023 that they had welcomed their first child together and her sixth overall.
“Baby boy Aro Reno, born 2/23/23,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “In Hebrew, Aro (pronounced like Arrow) means ‘bearer of martyrs, exalted, enlightened, mountain of strength.’”
Meanwhile, Sabrina exclusively told In Touch in a statement, “My boyfriend Scottie and I welcomed Aro with open arms, and we are very, very happy!”
Sabrina is also a mom to son Zekiah and daughters Skylar and Kalani with ex-boyfriend Jethro Nolt, as well as daughters Oakley and Arianna with ex-boyfriend Harry Kreiser III. The news of Aro’s birth came four months after In Touch exclusively confirmed that the reality star had split from Jethro in August 2022 after more than five years of dating.
