Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards’ estranged husband Mauricio Umansky’s father was accused of abuse by his longtime girlfriend, but Mauricio’s family claims the girlfriend is the true aggressor, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Simin Tabibnia, who was the longtime girlfriend of Mauricio’s father, Eduardo Umansky, filed a petition for an “elder or dependent adult abuse restraining order.”

In her filing, Simin, 68, called Eduardo, 81, her “ex-boyfriend” as she asked the court to order him to stay 100 yards away from her. Simin claimed Eduardo had abused her on December 4, 2024.

She said, “I am afraid of [Eduardo],” in her filing. In her filing, Simin said she was in a relationship with Eduardo for over 18 years. “During that time, I endured ongoing physical, verbal and emotional abuse. I now fear for my safety due to [Eduardo’s] actions.”

Simin claimed Eduardo has “physically abused me on multiple occasions resulting in injuries.” She said he has punched her in the face, punched her in the arms, struck her in the legs and shoved her to the ground and choked her. She attached photos of her alleged injuries to her petition.

“These incidents have left me not only physically injured but also emotionally injured,” Simin said. She claimed Eduardo’s “violent outbursts appear to be triggered by alcohol consumption and interactions with his family.”

Simin wrote, “Often, immediately after speaking with his daughter, Sharon Umansky Benton, he becomes enraged and attacks me.”

She claimed Eduardo “has a long history of verbal abuse, frequently using demeaning and profane language toward me in public and in front of others. He has repeatedly told me to ‘shut the f–k up,’ among other degrading remarks.”

As In Touch first reported, the legal drama started last year when Mauricio, 54, and his sister, Sharon, filed to place Eduardo under a conservatorship.

In court documents, the siblings claimed their father was unable to resist “undue influence and fraud” and had been taken advantage of by his girlfriend.

The court appointed Mauricio and Sharon to be conservators of their father’s finances. On top of that, Sharon filed a petition for a restraining order against Simin. She claimed Simin had kept her father isolated from his family and was “abusive to him.”

In her petition, Sharon accused Simin of getting physical with her on September 27, 2024. She said Simin struck her, bit her and ripped hair out of her head. Simin filed her own restraining order petition seeking protection from Sharon.

She denied she had been the aggressor and accused Sharon of getting physical with her. As In Touch first reported, the court granted Sharon a permanent restraining order against Simin. The order requires Simin to stay 100 yards away from Sharon.

In her newly filed petition against Eduardo, Simin said she believed that Eduardo’s behavior would end after Sharon filed a separate “elder abuse” restraining order against her on behalf of Eduardo in October 2024. In that petition filed by Sharon, she accused Simin of being an “abusive” girlfriend to Eduardo.

She said, “Around 10 years ago were the first signs of threats and abuse but it was difficult to understand exactly what was happening. Around August or September 2022 was when things began to escalate.”

Sharon continued, “My father started having bloody arms and bruises. She would hurt him, when he would grab her arms, she would bruise and then threaten to send him to jail for abuse. As his daughter, I am trying to protect him from living out the rest of his life under duress.” Sharon claimed Simin was verbally abusive to her father at the office, where they worked together, but mostly at home.

In her filing, Sharon said she had videos of the alleged abuse.

“We have known about some of the abuse including verbal threats, sexual manipulation, physical violence and filed a police report but my father is a battered boyfriend and has early signs of dementia and refused to press charges for fear of the threats that Simin has posed on him for many years,” Sharon said.

Sharon claimed that her father was harmed physically and had “several signs including bloody arm from nails and teeth digging into his arms.”

She said Eduardo was “very depressed” and “isolated from friends because she hides his phone and deletes friends contacts from his phone.”

Sharon claimed Simin “financially has manipulated [Eduardo] with threats, violence and sexual favors for money.”

“It is getting more violent, and I’m worried of escalation,” Sharon wrote.

In a response to Sharon’s petition, Simin said she strongly denied all the allegations. She said she had been in an “exclusive relationship” with Eduardo for 18 years.

She claimed Sharon had not been involved in her father’s life until recently — which she believed was based on financial motives.

Simin claimed that Sharon never liked her and “has often spoke negatively about me to her father and others.” Simin claimed Sharon tried to get Eduardo to break up with her many times.

“[Sharon’s] claims that I am physical abusive are also untrue and ironic. For a long time, I have endured a lot of violent physical abuse from [Eduard],” Simin said.

Simin claimed she hid her injuries from others. She said two of her doctors have seen the injuries, and one advised her to leave the relationship while another told her to call the police.

The court granted Sharon, on behalf of Eduardo, a temporary restraining order, but no decision has been made on a permanent one. A hearing is set for next month.

As part of her petition against Eduardo, Simin said things have escalated since Eduardo was granted his temporary restraining order.

“[Eduardo] has been relentlessly harassing me, calling me and texting me over 100 times since the restraining order was filed, and often, and multiple times a day. These calls are continuous and persistent, with the most recent calls occurring December 4, 2024.

In addition, Simin said Eduardo’s family has sent text messages, “threatening to call the police and have me arrested if I answer any of [Eduardo’s] calls or text messages. These threats have caused me immense stress and fear.”

Sharon attached an alleged message that Mauricio sent to Sharon’s daughter.

It read, “I am sorry to have to say this and write this text to you. Regarding your mom and my father, I want to remind you and her that she cannot be speaking to my father. We are aware that my father is calling her, despite this she is still picking up when she is not allowed to. We Don’t want to but are prepared to bring this to the police if this continues. Please make sure she is aware.”

Simin added, “I am 68 years old and feel powerless against the Respondent’s ongoing harassment and his family’s threats. I do not want to risk incarceration from the Respondent’s relentless attempts to contact me. I am in desperate need of the court’s protection to stop the Respondent’s abusive behavior.”

In her filing, Simin asks the court to grant a restraining order against Eduardo. Eduardo has yet to respond to the petition.
