Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix documentary, Polo, had viewers saying neigh-xt! Their latest project for the streaming giant premiered to dismal reviews — a critic for The Guardian called it an “unintentionally hilarious profile of the world’s stupidest sport” — and failed to make the Netflix Top 10 list in the U.S., U.K. or the rest of the world, for that matter, according to Newsweek. Harry, 40, and Meghan,  43, “are frustrated that Polo didn’t generate much enthusiasm,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch, adding that the couple put so much into the doc, especially Harry. “This was his pet project. He’s passionate about the subject and is disappointed others failed to see its significance.”

While their 2022 documentary, Harry & Meghan, broke Netflix’s record for highest viewing hours of any documentary title in a premiere week, the former royals have struggled to replicate its success. Harry’s Heart of Invictus docuseries “went by without notice,” per The Hollywood Reporter, and Meghan’s animated children’s show, Pearl, was canceled amid cutbacks at the streamer. “Fact is, Harry and Meghan were paid an exorbitant amount of money by Netflix and have little to show for it,” says the insider. “Whether they admit it or not, the pressure is on for the Sussexes to deliver a hit.”
