President Donald Trump followed through on a promise to call Savannah Guthrie as the search for her missing mother continues.

NBC News’ Tom Llamas — who sat down with the president, 79, for a Special Report on Wednesday, February 4 — confirmed that Trump called Guthrie to offer “words of support for her and her family as they search for her mother.”

Trump “assured the Guthrie family that every resource was available as needed,” Llamas added, according to People.

The Apprentice alum announced on Tuesday that he would reach out to the Today host during the difficult time.

“I think it’s terrible…It’s a terrible thing,” he said during a press conference. “I always get along well with Savannah. Very unusual situation, but we’re going to find out.”

The White House confirmed that Trump “called and spoke with Savannah Guthrie” on Wednesday, People reported.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen Saturday evening when her daughter, Annie Guthrie, dropped her off at home after a family dinner. When friends noticed her absence during her regular church service, they alerted the family. After a search of her home and property, Guthrie’s children called 911 around noon on Sunday.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that investigators have reason to believe she was taken from her Tucson, Arizona, home “against her will,” and may have been “harmed” in the process.

As of Wednesday morning, there are “no suspects or persons of interest” in the case.
