The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office now has Pamela’s body, and an exam is scheduled into her cause of death.
David, 72, and Pamela were married from 1989 to 2006. The former couple share two daughters, Taylor Hasselhoff-Fiore, 34, and Hayley Hasselhoff, 32.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he said in a statement to the outlet. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Hayley shared a 1996 throwback photo of her parents in happier times in an Instagram Story shortly after her mom’s tragic death. She simply added a white heart emoji.
David and Pamela’s eldest child, Taylor, made the former couple first-time grandparents in August 2024. She gave birth to 6-month-old daughter London Hasselhoff Fiore, whom she shares with husband Madison Fiore.
Pamela gushed over being a grandmother in an October 2024 Instagram post while holding baby London.
“I never knew a LOVE like THIS! Its powerful, pure, unconditional LOVE I have deep in my soul and being as I do for my precious and perfect granddaughter,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s incredible how a tiny human can open our hearts in such profound ways. I’m so blessed and grateful for my lil, BEAUTIFUL Angel. I LOVE YOU lovely LONDON With All of ME,” adding that her nickname as a grandma was “gigi.”
Pamela entered 2025 on a hopeful note, sharing an Instagram post showing her posing in front of her Christmas tree, along with a short video showing smiling baby London.
“Happy New Year, everyone! As we step into 2025, my heart is full of gratitude, especially for my precious grandbaby, London,” the Tulsa, Oklahoma, native wrote.
She continued, “Watching her grow and seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing. My wish for all of you this year is health, happiness, and an abundance of love. May 2025 be filled with beautiful moments, laughter, and all the blessings your hearts can hold. Here’s to a year of making cherished memories, spreading joy, and embracing every precious moment!”

Pamela and David met on the set of Knight Rider when she served as a guest star. Pamela joined Baywatch in 1989, playing café owner Kaye Morgan. She also appeared as Dr. Ellen Baskin on the 1994 TV series Sirens. The actress had roles in the 2000 film Castle Rock and 2002’s More Than Puppy Love. Pamela’s last credited acting role was in 2015’s Mansion of Blood.
Pamela revealed that David’s battle with alcohol played a role in their split during a 2008 interview with The Daily Mail.
“Everybody thought (David) was the golden star in swimming trunks on the beach with Pamela Anderson, but the drink was taking over his life,” she told the publication. “To me, he was the man who fell over on the bedroom floor.”
She added, “I don’t want this to be an attack on David. I love him. I always have. He’s a good man. He’s tried desperately hard to get sober. But he’s an alcoholic. He has a disease, just like cancer. And just like cancer, it ate away at our family from the inside.”
David later sought help with his drinking issues after his then-16-year-old daughter, Taylor, shot a video of him while he was intoxicated, which later became public in 2007.
“My daughters were instrumental in telling me the truth when I was partying a little too much and being too self-indulgent,” he told The Standard in 2016.
Last year, and insider told Closer that David has been embracing his sobriety, adding, “He has all this energy to burn since he stopped drinking. He’s been traveling the world and is still in high demand overseas.”
