Jesse Fawcett, the cocreator and executive producer of Pamela Anderson’s lifestyle show, Pamela’s Cooking With Love, has responded to claims that Meghan Markle copied the former Baywatch star’s series with her own, With Love, Meghan.

“We take pride in planting the first seeds – creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love – and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly,” Jesse told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Tuesday, March 4.

Fans were quick to call out the Duchess of Sussex, 43, after the trailer for her series premiered on February 24. YouTuber 2Taz even went as far as to create a video featuring side-by-side shots of Pamela and Meghan’s series that showed the similarities between the two. This included stills of Meghan looking dreamy as she stirred something in a pot next to one of Pamela, 57, doing the same. Another pointed to the similarities in what Meghan and Pamela said while filming their shows.

“I love to cook,” Pamela said while sitting on a couch. “I just always have wanted to take things to another level, and I thought, ‘I’m going to go to cooking school and bring really great chefs to me.’”

The following scenes showed the Dancing With the Stars alum chatting with renowned chefs as they whipped up various treats in her kitchen.

In the trailer for With Love, Meghan, the royal can be heard saying, “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.”

“I honestly cannot believe the similarities between Pamela’s Cooking With Love trailer and With Love, Meghan. I shouldn’t be shocked because she never has an original thought of her own, but honestly watching the two trailers spliced together had me me rolling,” 2Taz captioned the video. “How could she think people wouldn’t notice?? I wonder how much of Pammy’s cookbook and ideas will appear in the show!!”

The content creator continued, “Look up Pamela’s recipe on Google for Afternoon Tea in Chapter 3!! Frozen flowers in ice … even the same colours. On the plus side, this will give Pamela’s show even more coverage!! I need to stream it from the Food Network because it looks really good!! I love Pamela.”

Fans of Pamela rallied around her in the comments of the video.

“Pamela should sue for plagiarism and copyright infringement,” wrote one person.

Another person added, “Pamela put on an apron. She wore no jewelry. She tied (most of) her hair back. She presented co-star chefs and their dishes. This is a legit cooking show. This is how you do it, Megs.”

Both Meghan and Pamela’s series premiered earlier this year. Pamela’s Cooking With Love was initially slated to drop on Food Network Canada on January 15, but it was delayed due to the Los Angeles wildfires. With Love, Meghan hit Netflix on March 4.

There’s no doubt that the women’s shows are similar as they both focus on hosting, creating home-cooked meals and chatting with guests around their houses. However, viewers quickly noticed that their setups were identical.
