Former ’16 and Pregnant’ Star Nikkole Paulun Says She’s “So Scared” Baby Daddy Josh Drummonds Is Going to Kill Her

Last month, former 16 and Pregnant star Josh Drummonds — who is the father of Nikkole Paulun's seven-year-old son, Lyle — was arrested in Texas after allegedly choking someone he was living with; he was charged with felony assault. On Wednesday, Nikkole filed an order of protection against her baby daddy.

The night before, the now 23-year-old took to Instagram to write three lengthy posts about how she's "so so scared" that he will come after her and try to kill her. In the now deleted posts, she said, "Joshua suffers from a mental illness deeper than I could’ve ever imagined. One that he chooses to medicate with drugs." She added, "He has yet to be properly diagnosed so I can’t tell you what it is, I can just tell you it’s very, very horrible. (My best guess is manic bipolar). He would go weeks and months being completely normal and a great father and a great boyfriend. Then one day, a switch would flick, and he would be gone."

Their tumultuous relationship began when she was just 13 and a month after she turned 16, she had Lyle. She admitted that he cheated on her and "treated me like dirt" but after he was released from prison in January 2016, they got back together. "I truly thought he had changed and prison had given him a positive outlook on life. Several months into being back together, things started changing for the worst (as always)," she wrote.

In 2015, the former reality star gave birth to her daughter, Ellie Jade, who was fathered by a different man. She did admit, however, that Josh treated her like his own. Yet for every positive moment the two shared, there were plenty of other terrifying ones. She concluded her post, "I forgot to mention a week before he went to jail he called me telling me he was going to kill me and was on his way back to Michigan to do so. I’m just really scared of him and scared to push any buttons." Yikes — we hope that with the help of the order of protection, Nikkole and her children stay safe.
