Um, Nicki Minaj Cancelled Her Concert in France and Fans Chanted ‘Cardi B’
Welp. On Saturday, March 9, Nicki Minaj cancelled her concert at the last minute in Bordeaux, France, and her fans were not happy. Nicki’s “Barbies” (a.k.a. her loyal fanbase) couldn’t help but give a shout-out to Nicki’s rival Cardi B after they already filled the Arkea Arena. They chanted, “Cardi B! Cardi B!” as they exited the venue.
The “Super Bass” singer, 36, took to Instagram to explain what happened. “You guys, it’s not in my best interest not to perform and lose money and aggravate my fans,” she said in the video while she smoked a cigar. “I love performing for my fans. I’m more excited than you are before the show. These two cities that had technical issues were cities that I had never been to before, and we tried to add them, but they just didn’t have the power in the building to facilitate my show. And they didn’t tell us that until three hours before the show as opposed to when we did sound check, they said it was fine.”

The brunette beauty continued, “But anyway, every artist has technical difficulties and has to cancel shows. I want to tell you guys that I love you dearly, and I really hope to make it up very soon.”
As fans recall, the New York native, 36, and Cardi B, 26, got into a fight during a New York Fashion Week event in September 2018 after Nicki apparently made a comment about Cardi’s parenting skills. In response, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper supposedly chucked a shoe at Nicki.
This is the second time in two months that the Grammy nominee called off her show — she previously pulled the plug on her February 22 tour stop in Bratislava, Slovakia.
As Nicki returned to her hotel on Saturday night, she briefly greeted fans outside and apologized from her balcony. The model later attended a carnival with her boyfriend, Kenneth Petty, where she posted videos from their time together.
It seems like Nicki isn’t dwelling on the past.
