Jen Affleck Said Her ‘SLOMW’ Costars Didn’t ‘Reach Out’ Amid Marriage Woes
During the season 2 premiere, the women met for a powwow at newcomer Miranda McWhorter’s house to hash out their drama. Jen chatted with Whitney Leavitt and shared how displeased she was with the lack of support within MomTok.
“I’m going to be honest. I’m shocked. You’re still showing up to MomTok after everything. Also, after going to Vegas, I don’t know if I can trust anyone right now,” Jen told Whitney. “Just because like, no one was there for me. I mean, I literally reached out to everyone in the message.”
Jen informed Whitney that she wasn’t included in the group message, so she recited what she told her other costars.
“I basically said, like, ‘Hey, you guys, like, I’m struggling right now. Zac and I are struggling, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t feed into any of the negativity online right now just while we’re figuring stuff out,’” Jen continued. “No one responded.”
Meanwhile, other women in the group, especially Demi Engemann and Jessi Ngatikaura, were confused about what was really going on in Zac and Jen’s marriage.
In the following episode, Zac reached out to Demi and Jessi to clear the air – for the sake of his wife. During their conversation, Zac defended Jen and pointed out that nobody contacts her anymore, especially after the Vegas drama. However, Demi and Jessi claimed that Jen was the one who was inconsistent with communication.
“Things aren’t adding up when it comes to Jen. It sounds like she is spinning things in her favor. Like, she’s playing both sides, and I don’t like that,” Jen said in a confessional. “If it turns out that the things Zac is saying is true, then she absolutely needs to be held accountable for that.”
What Happened in Las Vegas That Led to Jen and Zac’s Fight?
During the end of season 1, the women took a trip to Sin City for Layla Taylor‘s birthday. Taylor Frankie Paul‘s now ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, tagged along because she was pregnant with their first child at the time. Zac also joined the party to keep Dakota company. All hell broke loose after the women went to a Chippendales show when Zac rage texted Jen and told her behavior was not acceptable for a married woman.
Zac’s issue with Jen going to the Chippendales show in Vegas continued to be a focal point during season 2. In fact, Demi’s husband, Bret Engemann, and Jessi’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, dressed up as Chippendales dancers during Jessi’s Halloween party and performed a strip tease on Jen. Needless to say, Zac was not happy about the long-running joke.

Jen consoled Zac and claimed she was just as shocked about the performance as he was, but Jessi claimed that she was in on the plan for “exposure therapy.”
“She was like, ‘We’re in a way better place. It would be so funny,’” Jessi exclusively told In Touch in a story published on May 15, 2025. “And then to not tell him was shocking because we were like, ‘Wait, this was honestly almost your idea. You were so down for it.’ So we were just really confused.”
Meanwhile, Jen and Zac were undergoing ketamine therapy to work through their differences after they briefly separated when season 1 stopped filming.
