Meghan Markle clapped back at Amanda Hirsch after the podcaster said she was “scared” for the Duchess of Sussex ahead to the launch of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.
Amanda, 33, shared the note in Meghan’s famed calligraphy handwriting to her Instagram page on Wednesday, March 19. It also included the Suits alum star’s royal cypher featuring an “M” with a crown atop it, which she received upon marrying Prince Harry in 2018.
The “Not Skinny But Not Fat” host shared her initial post showing a clip from With Love, Meghan, where Amanda wrote, “You guys I’m scared for Meghan.”
The next slide showed Meghan’s note to her, which read: “Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be! This is the fun part — let’s enjoy it.” It was dated “March 2025.” People confirmed the handwriting was Meghan’s.

“OH MY DUCHESS,” Amanda wrote in the caption of her post about getting a response from Meghan to her comment about being “scared” for her.
“Shut the front door!!!!!! This is so cool. Makes me like her even more than I already do,” one follower gushed in the comments, while another wrote, “She really called you out actually with a … I gotta say …. Funny note. She usually makes me cringe, but this is something else. Funny. Witty. You are both throwing shade but in good fun. Bravo. Well done on both sides.”
Even celebrities took notice of Meghan’s classy clapback.
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga shared her reaction, commenting, “Wait what???” while Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder added, “Um. If I don’t get a handwritten note in my mail soon this is gonna get mad awkward.”
While Meghan’s home entertaining and lifestyle show received some brutal reviews from critics, it managed to land in Netflix’s top 10 most-viewed TV series and was renewed for a second season.
To celebrate, Meghan shared a video to her Instagram page showing highlights from season one, including her talking in a whisper while pouring tea, chopping vegetables, cracking an egg and the sound of food sizzling on a skillet.
“Oh, how I love ASMR!” she captioned the post on March 7. ‘If you’re loving season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on season 2! Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”
Meghan had been accused by some people of allegedly copying Pamela Anderson’s lifestyle show, Pamela’s Cooking With Love, after With Love, Meghan‘s trailer dropped on February 27. The two shows featured similar concepts and even similar scenes, including Meghan wearing a straw hat similar to one Pamela, 57, wore in her Food Network Canada series.
“We take pride in planting the first seeds – creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love – and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly,” the show’s cocreator and executive producer Jesse Fawcett told The Daily Mail in an interview published on March 4.
Once Meghan’s show dropped, some viewers noted that many of Meghan’s recipes could be found on Pinterest, including how to create a rainbow fruit platter. Others poked fun at her personal entertaining tips, with one user sniping on X, “I’m so glad Meghan Markle has a new show on Netflix where I can watch her take pretzels out of a labeled bag and put them into a new bag … then label it.”
“Meghan is keeping her head up and putting on a brave face, but it must be chaos in her world,” a source exclusively told In Touch about the cruel reactions.
