Mariah Carey’s rumored new boy toy Anderson Paak’s divorce from his estranged wife has yet to be finalized — as the two musicians are reportedly getting close with each other, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Anderson’s ex, Jaylyn Chang, finally engaged with the divorce on December 5, 2024.

Anderson, 38, filed for divorce on January 12, 2024. He listed the date of marriage as November 23, 2010. He said the date of separation was “to be determined.”

The musician cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Anderson and Jaylyn share two children: Soul, 14, and Shine, 6.

Anderson asked the court to award him joint legal and physical custody of their children. He also asked that child visitation be awarded to both parties.

He asked that spousal support be awarded to Jaylyn for “no more than one-half the length of marriage, if any.”

Anderson’s petition seemingly asked that any request for further support be terminated. The musician asked the court to determine the issues of child and spousal support — along with the division of assets. Anderson’s petition made a note regarding community property.

He said, “The full nature and extent of community and/or quasi-community property assets and debts are not presently known. When same has been ascertained [Anderson] will either seek leave to amend this petition or otherwise include same in his preliminary and/or final declaration of disclosure.”

In addition, Anderson requested that both parties pay their own legal fees in the case. Jaylyn has yet to file an official response to Anderson’s petition despite it dragging on for over a year.

However, last month, she informed the court that she had turned over her preliminary financial information to Anderson. Anderson’s ex provided the musician with a list of her assets and debts along with a list of the assets she believes are to be community property. Anderson turned over his financial records to Jaylyn in June 2024.

The case has yet to be finalized. Last month, Mariah, 55, and Anderson sparked dating rumors when they were seen out at dinner at Catch Steak in Aspen, Colorado.

The duo was seen holding hands as they walked into the hot spot. Anderson was photographed holding the door open for Mariah as they entered.

In photos, Anderson’s arm seemed to be wrapped around Mariah’s waist as they walked. At the time, sources told TMZ that the duo were not a couple and were working on new music together.

However, a couple of days later, Anderson and Mariah added fuel to the dating rumors when they were spotted holding hands as they grabbed dinner for a second time. The two ate at Duemani restaurant with friends.

TMZ reported that Anderson kissed Mariah’s hand at the table at dinner. The outlet said sources told them Mariah and Anderson were “very touchy-feely” with each other. In photos, the duo can be seen close together with Mariah placing her hand on Anderson’s chest at on point.

Mariah broke up with her long-time boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, in late 2023. The former couple had been together for seven years.
