In one of the shocking texts, Shirilla accused Russo of attempting to harm her during a heated argument.
Investigators claimed the argument happened while Shirilla was driving erratically, just weeks before the deadly collision, TMZ reported.
In one of the alleged texts, Shirilla wrote, “Do you think I would have my car started with you in it knowing that you just tried to kill me.”

She also expressed frustration, asking for examples of why he loved her.
The texts were among roughly 93,000 messages reviewed during Shirilla’s 2023 murder trial, per WFLA.
The messages give a closer glimpse at the couple’s deteriorating dynamic before prosecutors argued Shirilla intentionally drove her car into a building at high speed.

Shirilla was convicted on several serious felony counts in connection with the crash that killed Russo, 20, and friend Davion Flanagan, 19.
She is currently serving 2 concurrent life sentences with the possibility of parole after 15 years, per NBC News. Her legal team has consistently maintained that the collision was a tragic accident and not an intentional act.
Nothing in the newly released messages suggests criminal conduct by Russo. Still, they add a new layer to the story of what was happening between the couple before everything fell apart.
The case gained renewed attention after Shirilla sat down for her first on-camera interview in The Crash, a Netflix documentary that dropped on Thursday, May 15.
