She’s opening up! Mackenzie Standifer had a fairly warm welcome to Teen Mom OG after she agreed to be filmed for the show when she started dating Maci Bookout‘s ex-fiancé and baby daddy Ryan Edwards. But that quickly went south after Ryan’s addiction became a major storyline during last season and Mackenzie blamed Maci for Ryan’s issues. But now that Ryan has completed rehab and the couple had their wedding do-over, Mackenzie is letting fans in on her life with Ryan via her blog.
In Mackenzie’s blog post titled “Q&A” that was published on Dec. 2, she dished on a ton of things that fans were wondering about her, since not much is known about her besides the fact that she, like Maci, was also a teen mom and has a toddler son named Hudson. She started to go back to the beginning, starting with the story about how she met Ryan.
“Ryan and I met at the gym here in Chattanooga. I was leaving to go to work and he was walking in,” the 20-year-old wrote. “Ryan asked me if I would like to go to dinner and since I had a few minutes…I said ok…he was super cute…couldn’t resist! Little did I know that I was going on a date with my future husband.”
She explained that she didn’t know that Ryan was on a show called Teen Mom OG. “I didn’t watch MTV then. Nor do I care to now,” she wrote. But if she didn’t know about the show then, she definitely does now since she’s been a major source of drama in Maci’s storyline. Mackenzie even opened up about what her life has been like now that she’s been featured on the series.
“In short, stressful. I’m a very mild person but I am passionate about things I believe in! I try to be very transparent and open but that usually gets translated into me looking ridiculously cold and angry,” Mackenzie wrote. “Don’t cross my family and don’t cross me. Haha!!”
