Extending an olive branch? Little People, Big World alum Amy Roloff said her ex-husband, Matt Roloff, and girlfriend Caryn Chandler are “welcome” to attend her and fiancé Chris Marek’s upcoming wedding. Although, the bride and groom “have the impression that it’s not something” they will be “interested” in going to.

“It’s not like they’re not going to be invited,” Amy, 55, told Us Weekly on Monday, April 20. “They’re welcome if they’d like to come,” Chris, 52, chimed in. “We don’t want anyone coming to our wedding out of obligation. The wedding is supposed to be about good friends and close family. I like Matt; I get along with him fine — and Caryn. But we’re not friends that hang out. We don’t do things together.”

“I just don’t want to invite someone because we’re inviting them,” the proud mama added. “They would be invited, but I wouldn’t expect them to come because of what they expressed in the past. But the past is the past. Things can change in the future. We’ll see.”

Amy and Matt first married in 1987 before going their separate ways in 2016. Three years later, Amy announced her engagement to Chris in September 2019, while Matt has been going strong with Caryn since 2017. Matt’s relationship with their former farm manager was a source of tension for the mom of four.

“I believe — this is all from my perspective — that there was more than just friends going on,” she said in a resurfaced Facebook Live video back in March 2019. “I think that evolved to a point where that got in the way of our marriage as well.”

While the beauty is open to a fresh start, she admitted she doesn’t believe Matt and Caryn would reciprocate. If they were to say “I do,” Amy “would not expect” to be invited to their nuptials. “You want to start your new relationship with the people that are going to be part of [it],” she said, adding she would only attend the hypothetical wedding “out of just support for my kids.” Despite the understandable tension between the exes and their new partners, Amy would still send well-wishes to her ex.
