James B. Jones and Shelley Wolfe
Love on the Spectrum couple Shelley Wolfe and James B. Jones are celebrating their one-year anniversary after captivating fans on season 3 of the hit show.
Shelley marked the special occasion by sharing a video via TikTok on Tuesday, April 15, from their first date in 2024, showing him rocking the stage while doing karaoke.
Earlier this week, she gushed over an experience they shared together.
“On April 1st, James and I attended the Love on the Spectrum premiere, in L.A., where we watched the first episode of the series with the other cast members,” Shelley wrote alongside several photos from the event, which she posted on Monday, April 14. “It was a wonderful experience, and it was great to see James on the panel.”
After fans called James, 37, her “soulmate,” Shelley echoed the sentiment, responding to one commenter, “I have never met anyone I feel so deeply connected to. He understands parts of me that I did not even know needed understanding. I am my happiest when I am with him.”

While filming the latest season, the two met online, and she even made an appearance at James’ backyard birthday party, where they shared their first kiss.
James told his parents on the show that he adored her “soft, quiet voice” and how much they share in common, adding that they like “similar movies, music and television series” and also have similar “social and political views.”
She was even the muse for a song James wrote about her, titled “Heavy Metal Queen.”
The lovebirds have continued to grow closer, attending the Robin Hood’s Medieval Faire together in June 2024, followed by King Richard’s Faire that September.
“Shelley is simply wonderful and amazing,” James told Netflix’s Tudum about their budding romance after the show wrapped, revealing why she was such a great match for him.
“I love her very much, since she and I have much in common, but we also bring out the best in each other and inspire each other to grow and improve as people,” he shared with the site. “I am so very glad that she and I have met!”
James also noted that he was grateful to have explored the dating scene before meeting Shelley. “I enjoyed being able to meet many new people via those methods,” he said.
“I certainly was nervous about meeting such a great many people in a short duration, and I also worried that I would not have sufficient time to properly develop a connection with any of the other participants.”
James said he felt compelled to share his personal story with the world on the show and on social media, using his platform to advocate for autism awareness.
“I share my beliefs because I wish to inspire other people to take action and be kind and compassionate to others because I am of sufficient age to remember a time before society understood neurodiversity,” he continued. “I have been bullied and marginalized in the past, and I wish to prevent other people from suffering from that fate.”
