Lewis Hamilton Has ‘Proven’ to Kim Kardashian That ‘He’s Husband Material’ Amid Her Grandma’s Passing

The recent death of Kim Kardashian‘s beloved grandmother Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon has brought her and boyfriend Lewis Hamilton closer together, a source tells In Touch.

“Kim rushed to be by her side and help her mom [Kris Jenner] cope and Lewis couldn’t have been more loving and supportive,” the source reveals. “She says this past month has really proven to her that he’s husband material.”

Prior to MJ’s passing, the reality TV star, 45, posted a series of photos to Instagram of her and the Formula One driver, 41, on vacation together with family and friends.

“Their trip to the lake couldn’t have gone any better,” adds the source. “Lewis was such a natural with Kim’s kids and for her, everything just seemed to fall into place.”

As In Touch previously reported, Kardashian wants Hamilton to be a big part of the lives of her and ex-husband Kanye West‘s four children, North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.

“They’ve had some very serious conversations about the future and Kim has made it clear she isn’t looking for a relationship that just drifts along,” says the source. “She wants the whole nine yards, including marriage, and Lewis has told her in no uncertain terms that he’s ready for that too.”

However, “they’re not rushing to announce anything or even get engaged just yet, but it is something they’ve both agreed on, so now it’s just a question of timing,” the source notes. “She wants to leave that up to him, but getting officially engaged is the next step.”
