Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills Mansion Burglarized, Suspect Accused of Taking Car for Joyride

A man allegedly breached Kim Kardashian‘s gated Hidden Hills estate and stole one of the vehicles on her property before deputies tracked him down and made an arrest, authorities said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary call at Kardashian’s home around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, according to The California Post, which first reported the incident.

Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills station arrived to find a male suspect still on the property. Investigators say the man had taken one of the vehicles on the property for a joyride around the neighborhood before he was detained.

A source close to the Kardashians star told The Post the car belonged to a staff member, not Kardashian herself.

He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and vehicle theft and booked into jail. “It’s still under investigation, and we’re still in the preliminary stage,” LASD Sgt. Chris Sonderlund told the outlet.

This isn’t the first security scare tied to Kardashian’s properties.

In 2017, while she was still married to Kanye West, someone broke into the driveway of their Bel Air home and vandalized three vehicles, according to TMZ.

That came roughly a year after Kardashian was held at gunpoint and robbed of $10 million in jewelry during a 2016 incident in Paris, a case that ultimately led to convictions for eight of the 10 suspects involved, as reported by the BBC.

The All’s Fair actress has been staying in a nearby rental while the Hidden Hills mansion undergoes renovations, and she was reportedly not present at the property at the time of the break-in, TMZ reported.

She and West, AGE TK, purchased the estate for $20 million in 2014, finishing extensive renovations before moving in three years later, as per Realtor.
