Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Confess How Their ‘Live’ Job Affects Intimate Moments

Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa‘s sex life was once again the main topic of conversation on the Tuesday, March 3 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark.

The couple have been married since 1996, and Ripa, 55, claimed last year that her significant other only wants to be intimate “in the morning” — which guest Christa Miller wasted no time in bringing up as soon as she sat down.

“I have something to say. I watch this show, I’m a fan. And, Mark, I’m going to say this with love,” the Shrinking star, 61, said. “There’s no morning sex. No one likes it. And not even on the weekends.”

“I’ve got to tell you, this job has really gotten in the way of that,” Consuelos, 54, replied. “It’s been the antidote for it!”

But the Scrubs star — who has been married to TV producer and screenwriter Bill Lawrence, 57, since 1999 — continued her with her admonishment.

“We also don’t fall for the, ‘I just want to cuddle you’ in the morning.’ You don’t,” she joked.

Ripa added: “Yeah, there’s no cuddling. I always say, ‘Spooning leads to forking!’ ”

Miller then asked Ripa to do her “a favor” in return by speaking into the camera and telling her husband: “There is no morning sex.”

Ripa more than obliged, turning to the camera. “Bill, for the love of God. On behalf of all of us here in the studio audience, there is absolutely no morning sex,” she announced.

However, Consuelos laughed, and added: “I don’t know, Bill. Something tells me you should go for it.”
