Kate Cassidy is remembering the good times she had with late boyfriend Liam Payne.

The influencer, 25, took to TikTok on Thursday, March 20, with an emotional video of herself going through boxes of items linked to fond memories with the One Direction alum, who died at 31 years old in October 2024.

“I’ve had these boxes sitting here in my basement for probably three or four months now,” she explained before breaking down in tears. “I’ve just been absolutely dreading opening these boxes and going through these things because they’re just kind of, the things that had happened the last couple of months and weeks with Liam.”

Kate revealed that, while going through some of the boxes, she found one with a bright yellow wedding guest dress that brought to mind a special memory.

“This dress actually brings me so much peace and comfort because the memory me and Liam had in this dress was just a memory that I will literally never forget,” she explained.

The internet personality told viewers that she wore the gown to a “beautiful wedding” with Liam, and it was the first wedding she had ever gotten to attend.

“Oh my god, we just had the best time,” she said.

“And the best part about this is that, in another box, I found these shoes,” Kate added, holding up a pair of white Christian Louboutin heels with muddy or scuffed-up soles. “And I remembered the next morning, I woke up and I said to Liam, ‘Oh my God, look at my shoes, they’re so ruined. I don’t know what to do with them.’”

Kate continued, “We literally just danced the night away. We were dancing all night, walking around this venue exploring.”

Though Kate said she couldn’t “believe” she didn’t throw out the shoes, she was “so happy” that she didn’t because her memory of that special night with Liam was “embedded in these shoes.”

The Instagram model concluded that she wanted to share the video because she wanted to show fans “something that brings me a lot of good memories.”

Liam died when he fell off a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, 2024. The fall fractured his skull and left the singer with “very serious injuries,” In Touch confirmed at the time.

According to a toxicology report, Liam had cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack in his system at the time of his death, as well as “pink cocaine” — a mix of ketamine, ecstasy, caffeine and 2-CB, a psychedelic drug.

In December 2024, five people were charged in connection to the “Strip That Down” singer’s death — hotel manager Glida Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi, Liam’s friend Roger Nores, hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz. Nores, Paiz and Pereyra have denied that they were involved in Liam’s death.

Earlier this month, an Argentine court dropped the manslaughter charges against Nores, Martin and Grassi. However, Paiz and Pereyra remain behind bars as they await trial for allegedly selling drugs to Liam on the night he died.

Before his death, Liam and Kate were dating for about two years. She had been with the former boyband member days before his passing, as the couple flew to Argentina together to see Liam’s former bandmate and friend Niall Horan in concert on October 2, 2024. However, Kate flew home to Miami on October 14, 2024, explaining in a video on social media that she felt homesick. Liam checked into the CasaSur Palermo Hotel by himself.

“Obviously if I knew, if I could see into the future, I would never have left Argentina,” she told The Sun in her first interview following Liam’s death in February. “I think about Liam every second of every day. It still doesn’t feel fully real for me that he’s not here. I’m trying to be the best I can be, but I feel like my life has changed so much.”
