Joshua Jackson told the court he is having issues with his ex-wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, only weeks after they hashed out a divorce settlement, In Touch can exclusively report.

On May 28, Joshua, 46, filed a declaration, obtained by In Touch, detailing the alleged drama and asking the court to enter a detail parenting plan and to keep their 5-year-old daughter, Juno, in the school she is currently in.

In addition, Joshua asked that a custody schedule be worked out while Jodie, 38, will be working in Europe.

In his declaration, the Dawson’s Creek star said Jodie’s work “typically involves much travel.”

He said he filmed a TV show on the Paramount Lot in Los Angeles, and “limited my travel to promotion of a movie that was completed.”

Joshua starred on the Fox show Doctor Odyssey, which recently wrapped airing season one.

He noted, “I am awaiting news about whether the television series will be renewed nor cancelled. I will not accept work that requires significant travel over the next few years, unless it is at times when Jodie will be in Los Angeles to care for Juno.”

As In Touch first reported, per their settlement, Joshua and Jodie agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.

The actor paid Jodie a one-time payment of $133,333 and will make another in the same amount.

Jodie waived all rights to spousal support but will be paid $2,787 per month in child support, which will change based on Joshua’s income.

In his new filing, Joshua explained they are having disagreements about Juno’s school. Joshua wants her to stay in the school she’s at, but Jodie wants to enroll her to a different school.

Joshua said he initially agreed to this but said at the time, “I didn’t know how important school and peer continuity is for children, and especially for Juno.”

He said the school Jodie likes is not within 45 minutes of his permanent home, which is being rebuilt after burning down in the January wildfires.

“Jodie’s work abroad means that Juno commutes to school from my home far more than she does from wherever her mother chooses to live when she is in Los Angeles,” Joshua said.

Joshua claimed at one point Jodie wanted their daughter to go back and forth between California and London.

“Jodie assets that it is no big deal to force Juno to start over with a new school for her mother’s convenience,” she said.

Joshua claimed Jodie told him Juno would have tutors to help with adjusting to a new school.

“I started acting at a young age. I have spent a lot of time with on-set or on location tutors. Even in the best case it cannot begin to provide a child with the same nurturing enrichment, peer relationships and social skills that a classroom and school community environment provides.”

Joshua said Juno had to deal with their home being lost in the recent wildfires, and all of the familiar possessions kept in the home being gone. He said they are temporarily staying in a rental nearby in Calabasas while he works to rebuild his home.

Joshua said, “I live in the home I lived in during my childhood, and have owned since my early twenties.”

He explained that he is actively engaged in rebuilding. “I expect the home to be rebuilt by no later than when Juno starts first grade, hopefully sooner,” he said.

The actor noted Jodie has rented various homes in L.A. since their separation in late 2023. Joshua asked the court to step in and not force their daughter to change schools.

He noted the current school has “ethnic and racial diversity among the student body and administrators and educators” and said the school admin was “proactive in offering additional care and resources after our house burned down.”

“Because Jodie is based in London over many of the school year months, a longer commute from my home will have a greater adverse impact on Juno,” the actor said.

He added, “It seems especially unfair to Juno to move her to a different school and cause her a far longer commute to school as a result based on the new school’s proximity to Jodie’s current rental home, given that Jodie will be in London for most if not the entirety of the first half of the upcoming school year.”

Joshua added, “We appear to agree that Juno will stay in Los Angeles with me for the first period of time while Jodie is working in London, with Jodie having parenting time available to her here in Los Angeles whenever she may be able to come home between her filming obligations.”

He continued, “It is after that initial period where we do not agree. Jodie would prefer that Juno spend a five week period with her and her mother’s care vaguely ‘in Europe’ while I believe it is in Juno’s best interests to have continuing parenting time with each parent.”

Joshua added that he doesn’t believe their daughter should go that long without seeing him.

As In Touch previously reported, Jodie filed for divorce from Joshua in October 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the marriage ending.

Prior to the settlement, Jodie accused Joshua of not paying her a dime in support.

Jodie told the court, “Josh promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.”

The actress has yet to respond to Joshua’s recent filing.
