Impractical Jokers' Joe Gatto Enters In-Patient Facility, Cancels Tour Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Impractical Jokers alum Joe Gatto canceled his comedy tour and has entered an in-patient facility after he was accused of sexual assault.
“Having taken some time to reflect, I’ve decided to voluntarily enter an inpatient program to continue working on myself,” Joe, 48, said in a statement to People on Wednesday, March 26. “I just want to thank my friends, fans and especially my family for all of their support — never more so than over the last few days.”
While Joe did not comment on the future of his tour, a source told the outlet that all of his upcoming tour dates have been canceled.
A TikTok user with the username joozyb accused Joe of sexually assaulting her when she was 19 in a series of now-deleted videos on March 20. “I got sexually assaulted by Joe Gatto, the Impractical Joker. I’m sorry you don’t believe it. The people you idolize aren’t always going to be good,” she claimed.
Joozyb claimed she was a fan of Joe when she saw him at a restaurant in Milwaukee while she was out with her mother and sister. After she took photos with Joe, joozyb reached out to him via Instagram Direct Message and asked if he could give her and her family members free tickets and meet-and-greet passes to his September 2023 show at Pabst Theater in Milwaukee.
After she and her family attended the show, joozyb claimed she was drinking when she began communicating with Joe via Instagram DM. She said Joe allegedly put the messages in Vanishing Mode and she said he gave her directions to the hotel he was staying at.
Once she made it to the room, joozyb said “some stuff happened” and she shared a photo of her buttocks that had allegedly been bruised by the comedian.
“Yes he did S.A me. yes he had JUST gotten back together with his wife. I’m sorry you guys don’t want to hear it,” she wrote alongside the photo.
Joe denied the accusations two days later. “I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most. But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone,” Joe told Page Six in a statement. “And I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to.”

The accusations continued when one of his former coworkers claimed that he exhibited inappropriate behaviors during his time on Impractical Jokers, which she described as sexual harassment.
She told People on March 23 that she met Joe when she was 15 years old at one of his live shows, and claimed that he became flirtatious when she turned 18. The woman – who chose to keep her identity private – began working for Joe just after she graduated from college and claimed that another former employee tried to warn her about his “creepy” and “handsy” behavior.
During her time working with Joe, she said that he would inappropriately grab her and would ask for back massages. She also claimed that Joe invited her to his room, asked her to cuddle and would ask about her sex life.
After the second woman’s claims were revealed, a rep for Joe referred to his previous statement made to Page Six denying the allegations.
